The AK in game is based on a AKM.

The AK-M and the AK-47 are two different weapons.

AR-15 here implies the AR-15 style/design which is what the M16A2 is based off. I believe the names are interchangeable

The M-16 model in game is not an AR-15, it is an M16A2, it says it on the side of the model.

Looks like someone did there research on the guns in Left 4 dead 2 unlike most of the people that play this game
