Midtown Office 1

This is a large Art Deco / Neo-Gothic office building located somewhere in Midtown, New York. Hundreds (if not thousands) of such wedding-cake, ziggurat-like structures are scattered in the middle of Manhattan, but they are not represented at all on the Workshop. So I decided to make a small collection, and this is the first entry.

This building was built most likely in 1928 as an industrial or office building. A notable feature of such buildings is the fancy façade with decorative railings and the rather rough, industrial appearance of the remaining sides of raw brick. They also have numerous setbacks both on front and back sides, and water towers at the very top.
They are not tourist destinations so they usually aren't well maintained, so I was quite generous in painting dirt and stains. The combination of Art Deco and Neo-Gothic elements gives the Gotham City vibes.
This is not an exact recreation, let's call it a close adaptation. As an advantage I was able to make it wall to wall and also use the same texture in my next projects. Speaking of which, I have plans to release at least 3 assets in this style, maybe even more, so stay tuned and don't forget to leave a like.
