What are Blood-Scopes?
============================================================================
Blood-Scopes are what we call any sniper rifle that is Battle Scarred, Well-Worn, or Field-Tested with blood on the scope of the lens. These are the only wears that have blood appear in random patterns, you cannot get them on Minimal Wear or Factory New skins.

When people refer to a Blood-Scope, generally they are referring to the best this category has to offer. A scope entirely filled with blood, has not a single trace of scope on the bloody enveloped lens.
============================================================================

These are known as FULL Blood-Scopes!

============================================================================

A bloody scope that isn't fully blood can still be recognized as a Blood-Scope but won't have near the demand as a FULL, which is the best type. These are known as Partial Blood-Scopes!

============================================================================

So we learned about FULL and Partial Blood-Scopes, that's it right? Well.. There are special patterns these blood splatters can make. I found this dong pattern elite grade myself, very proud of this purchase :^). These are known as Unique Blood-Scopes!

============================================================================

My homie Dr. Muted also picked up a cute smiley scope, it's not for sale but I will show you a pic for reference of the different unique patterns possible. Smiley below :].

============================================================================

For any more information I may have missed, please don't hesitate to take a look at the Group

============================================================================

Keep in mind that Blood-Scopes are mirrored and appear on both sides of the lens. Here are two pictures of the same rifle as an example.

============================================================================
How to find them!
The best area to look for these Blood-Scopes is undeniably the Steam Community market, this is mainly because it has the most listings/sales out of all the websites. Some already applied rifles can have the blood patterns, but people look at war-paints(un-applied) mostly due to there being more listings at a fair market rate. Don't know how to inspect an item in-game? I gotchu covered!

Click this drop down arrow below (ᴗ ͜ʖ ᴗ)

Then click this ◕‿↼

There are several websites that get skimmed for these bloody scopes. I'll try not to include websites that do not have a function for inspecting them in-game. If I miss any sites, let me know in the comment section below <3!

Tier List (Different Qualities)
Ranking Goes From Left(Rare)------->Right(Common)

Full > Unique > Partial

Field Tested > Well-Worn > Battle-Scarred

Strange > Non-Strange Obviously (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵)

Elite Grade > Assassin Grade > Commando Grade > Mercenary Grade > Freelance Grade > Civilian Grade

Reminder: Civilian Grade skins have the option to apply a Stat Clock to them, making any civil grade essentially strange. At the time of writing this Stat Clocks cost 20-ish refined metal or around 70 cents on steam community market.

There are more anomalies than just that, I just wanted to point out the two most notable ones. :3

Example of dust: https://ibb.co/gvZn7CJ
Example of an intentional colour change (in this case, Necromancer): https://ibb.co/0KhRfXn

Some more things to add: dust is hardly noticeable, but it's mirrored in the same fashion as blood. Nobody really cares about that, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

Also, some war paints *intentionally* change the colour of the scope - for example, Necromancer and Business Class make it a satisfying shade of brown. :3

Good foundation for a guide!
Question: when you are ranking rarest to common, you put that it goes FT > WW > BS. Is there a reason you listed it that way?

I assume it’s because blood splatters are less common on FT. But if that is the case, what about the wear’s rarity itself?
It may be more likely to find blood on the scope on a BS compared to a FT, but there are far more FT skins that exist than BS skins that exist (FT being the most common wear at around 30% and BS being the least common wear at around 8%). Could an argument be made that blood scope rarity is equal regardless of wear? Or maybe that BS or even WW Blood Scopes are rarer than FT?

I suppose since we don’t know the % odds for bloodscopes we can truly never be sure, but I am curious if you have insights to share.

Thanks for making the guide!

hello can anyone here help me appraise a Blood Scope Field Tested Purple Range Sniper Rifle? There's a very slight spot where there isnt any blood on the very bottom of the front optic lense, but the back lense is full red
