How to run OpenJk through Steam via Launch Options

it all comes down to a special cmd line using %Command%

the magic

Jedi Academy in Library -> right click -> Properties -> Launch Options and input this cmd line below (with quotes! "" it only worked after I used quotes...)

 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\GameData\openjk_sp.x86.exe" %Command% 

or any particular .exe you want within the GameData folder included by openjk really. If you want 1920x1080 or more fancy resolutions then make an autoexec_sp.cfg within GameData/base folder as that's the config file that OpenJK looks for with regards to SP and type in the appropriate command lines found within this guide linked below to tweak your game

Hey, thanks for the guide, I got Jedi Academy working fine but I'm trying to do the same for Outcast (I know Outcast MP isn't supported in OpenJK) and I tried this trick. It just crashes on launch, however. I can launch fine via the executable but not via Steam. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?
