WTH, 1:19:06 - I have a completely different puzzle here (octagonal box with rotating puzzle) and the one I have appears to be broken.

You really have to stay into the sea to reach each point and maybe try to activate the subtitles you should see for each successful step a message indicating "There seems to be some trigger mecanism".
