The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Old Gen Detailed Mod Guide

Mod Programs and Mod Installation

I had installed many mods with the Nexus Mod Manager program before, I was doing the automatic installations with the Nexus Mod Manager, the Nexus Mod Manager program has been replaced by the Vortex Manager program, If you want to install the mods with the manager program, I recommend you to use the Vortex Manager program, Unfortunately Witcher 3 It is not possible to mod Witcher 3 with the Mod Organizer 2 manager program, as it is not supported by the manager program like Mod Organizer 2. You can use Vortex Manager. If you want to install mods manually, you need to open a mods folder where the game is installed, some mods have 3 separate folders, you should put the mods in the mods folder into the mods folder, the configurations in the bin folder, and the expansions in the dlc content into the dlc folder. You can also choose The Witcher 3 Mod Manager program instead of Vortex.

Basic and Interface Modes

1. Script Merger: Detects conflicts between mods & helps you resolve them, either by creating merged files that override the conflicting ones, or by configuring a custom load order for your mods. Merges are easy to undo because they don't change the original mod or game files. Depending on your mods, some merges may require basic understanding of code.

I see the mods are unlikely to break, a few of the core mods may break, appearance mods, gameplay mods, sword and armor mods, story mods will still work.

UPDATE: I added the Next Gen Witcher 3 mod, Witcher Ability Icons Redone mod, to the basic mods, I added the Gervant First Person mod to the gameplay mode.

Thanks!!! You've forgot about the 1st person mod. Sadly I could not change the FOV on that one so it was pretty annoying as I could not see a thing.
