Chest location (starting La Rochelle)

While the first half of the game is quite easy towards locating chests, it becomes much harder in the second half. I was always finding the chest marked on the map until I reached La Rochelle where I had to spot them myself. After struggling a bit, I decided to make my own guide

La Rochelle

Start the level and don't pay attention to the Interogation marks on the map, you can't reach them yet. Go straigh to your first fight and then before taking the stairs to the outer wall, pay attention to the shining spot on its left.


This will unlock the First chest that is located near the outer wall on your right after the stairs.


Continue the level, go downstairs, sneak kill 2 guards near an alarm and continue straight to multiple fights until you reach a ramp that leads to the outer wall. If you see interogation marks before, you can ignore them as well. On the right of the ramp, you'll see two guards discussing. Wait for their dialog to complet before sneak killing them to unlock an optional quest.

Continue the level, until reaching the other corner of the city and go downstairs then just turn left and follow the innerwall to reach the location of the optional quest. After the fight, check the shining spot to get the location of the 4th chest.


Explore the city below the inner wall, you should reach the chest that is located near the starting location.


Continue the level and reach one of a templar door in a small yard then following the path you'll reach the 3rd chest whom location you saw on your map before.


Finally go back upstairs and reach the jousting arena area, just before that follow the inner wall to find the 4th chest near 4 guards guarding the 5th chest.

Burning forest

At the start, located the 1st chest and the shining spot for the 2nd chest on the second tree trunk.


Look behind you near the first tree, to find the 2nd chest


Go through the burning forest until you reach a wooden fort behind a river. The 3rd chest is on the right


Now, take the other path and leave the forest to enter the fort. After the first fight, go back on the wooden rempart to find the 4th chest near the entrance


Exit the fort and continue until reaching a wooden ramp, the 5th chest is on the left


Go upstairs, clear the ennemies and notice the shining spot on the tents. This unlocks the 6th chest


Continue through another wooden ramp and turn right to enter a small stone castle where you fight the 2nd commander. Behind a wall, you'll find the 6th chest


Go downstairs the first set of stone stairs avoiding the archers to locate the 7th chest on the right just before the 2nd set of stone stairs.


Continue downstairs and notice the shining spot on the battlefield to locate the 8th chest.


The 8th chest is just behind of the right of the tree


The 9th chest is behind the house


Finally, take any path and after the fights again the halleberdmen, find the 10th chest on the left behind the scaffold.

The swamp

Go through the village and listen to all the conversations. One of them gives the position of the 1st chest just outside the village on the left near a big tree.


Spot the bridge next to it and go around the big boulder to find the 2nd chest.


Sneak kill all the archers on the hills and clean the little fort to find the 3rd chest


Continue, do the optional quest to free the villagers and you'll reach a cave. The 4th chest is near the entrance inside on the right.


Follow the path, kill the baron and reach a demolished stone castle. After climbing the hill, you'll find the 5th chest on the demolished bridge


Go downstair and you'll find the 6th chest in the little wooden fort.


Continue your way until reaching a mad hermit. Starts its quest, go down, turn right and locate the torch.


Take one, got back to the hermit to ignite it and go behind the hermit house to find a barricade. Burn it, get the Shiny and go back to the hermit to get the 7th chest


Finally continue your way until the end of the map in the dock. After talking to Marie, grab the 8th chest near the deck.


BONUS: The pirate chest optional quest.
Speak to the imprisoned villager just after killing the baron.


Find the first clue behind a broken wall in the castle, the second clue at the status head near the broken bridge, the third clue in the well of the wooden fort near the 6th chest and the final clue in a tomb before reaching the dock.

Desert town

Talk to the merchants on the left, clear the ennemis then go to the left on the path to the archers. Help the other merchant here and spot the blinking clue for the location of the 1st chest. You will find it before the archers


Continue the level, until you are ask to help soldiers trapped behind a get. You 'll find the 2nd chest abose the gate that can be opened.


Once you have the trebuchet, clear the two barrages and progress. You'll fidn the 3rd chest behind a wall on your right.


Take the right path down, clear the ennemis and get the 4th chest


Finally get the 5th chest next to the next gate.

Marauders's camp

This level is just a big brawl. you'll switch between sneaky neck breaking and timed fights.

Pass the gate and clear the first group of ennemy, to reach the first major area crawling with 3 groups of marauders to kill. The 1st chest is on the left inside the camp.


After clearing the first area, you will reach the 2nd camps. A cutseen will trigger showing you an archer in a high tower.Turn left after the small tower with 2 archers, you'll find the 2nd and 3rd chests


Go right behind the big tower to the beach, you will locate some tracks that leads to a small island with the 4th chest


Continue the level, until you start climbing some wooden path. You'll be prompted to find a treasure chest on your right in a small alcove/cave. This is the 5th chest


After this chest, the path collapse and you can't go back, continue until you reach several mechanical traps, pass them until you reach a small plateform with 2 spikes and a lever. You'll find several troups. Look behind you to find the 6th chest

Temple of the nine

Cross the bridge, pass the gate, you'll see the 1st chest. You can get it by going around the wall


Continue, after the fire, you reach the 2nd chest


After the room with the 3 stone plates and 3 levers, take the small door and solve the riddle with the 4levers to reach the 3rd chest


In the huge chamber, take the path on the right to find the 4th chest


Continue the level until you reach "outside the temple", the 5th chest will wait for you there


The 6th chest will be at the end of the path you unlocked


Once you reach some big status, the 7th chest will be behind them


Continuing, you'll reach track that will lead you to traps and the clue for the 8th chest. Go back a bit to find the chest behind a wall


In the labyrinth of fire, turn left at each crossroads to reach the 9th chest.


The 10st chest will lay behind the big status


For the 11st chest, pull the secret lever in the small room before the room of symbols. Read the stone to learn the number 1312. Use both characters to stay on the plates with the correct number to keep the gates open and pass. You'll find the chest at the end

Templar's hideout

Start the level and once you reach archer on a hills and hear monks, go up this hills to find the 1st chest


Later you will hear a discussion about deserters, follow the track until you reach the 2nd chest behind a shining rock


Turn left and go toward the straight tree, you'll find the 3rd chest behind it


Go back to the shining rock and now turn right to find the 4th chest


Continue the path that should reached a abandoned mine, on this way, you'll find the 5th chest in a corner behind a bush.


On the main path, after finding the first tablet, go down and turn left. You'll fight some deserters, continue on the right to find the 6th chest


Finally, once you reach some ruins, get the clue on the dead templar just at the entrance on the right then find the chest after exiting the ruins.

Montsegur outskirts

At the start of the level, down the hills take the left to reach the 1st chest


now take the right path that should lead to a fight with an "ogre", the 2nd chest is there

After killing the 1st commander, you'll find the 3rd chest on the left along the river

After the fight with Ishars, take the clue on the tomb and the 4th chest will be on the left

Follow the path to the castle, you'll find the 5th chest guarded by 2 "ogres"

Castle courtyard

At the begining of the level, you'll find the 1st chest on the left of the ennemies you are facing


After taking the stairs on the wall, catapults will start firing at your castle. Take stairs on the right to find the 2nd chest


You'll then reach a zone where it is advised to sneak. Note the clue on the chariot and the 3rd chest behind the building


Continue sneaking in the second area to find the 4th chest on the right


Once you reach the courtyard, a cutscene will trigger. Take the left path to fight multiple dark knights. The 5th chest is at the end.


After opening "Pandora's box", reach the final gate. The 6th chest is on the right of the stairs.

Castle Montségur

Only the 1st chest is easy to miss. Play the level until reaching the 2nd floor and finding the first key, you'll then enter a large room where you can sneak kill few solders. The chest will be in a path on the left


once you find the second key, you'll notice a moving bookshelf that lead to a treasure room. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th chests will wait you there.

The sanctuary

Start the level and reach the gate, take the right path with all the traps. Once you have a choice turn left and reach a firewall. Look at the cracked wall on your right and reach the 1st chest


Once you have opened the gate, continue until finding yourself in a room with moving fire spits in circle. Near the trigger, there is a cracked wall with the 2nd chest behind
