PLACE ABOVE ALL OTHER MODS, ALWAYS AS FIRST. That will fix any problems you have normally.

This is the fixed version of Kam2150's alternative economy mod for Divide et Impera overhaul. As was first here, and on the workshop :

This fixed the new units introduced some updates ago, notably the Ardiae/Illyrian units and I think some others. Anyway all credits goes to them! I just modified some tables I dont remember exactly lol.

I think I fixed some other things to make it compatible? Anyway it works with the latest Dei version as of 2022-04-25

This mod will pretty much always work, the only problem will be new units that are added from new DeI patch might not get the right prices, but these are an easy edit if it ever happens.

Does this work for 1.3?

Hello, sorry to disturb you but I have a problem with this mod with the African mercenary elephant unit with the Roman faction, the men are standing in the void, I don't understand where the problem comes from but even with only Dei and this mod the problem is still there, and disappears when removing this mod

I'll try and find time to update this if there are new units.

@MisterSunShine

I guess I could make levy troops a bit more expensive but you have to remember that your number of armies are limited. If you only make 20/20 armies of levies and you have a max army number of 4, then you don't have any backup good armies and no patrol armies.

Also levy units usually take different populations and they're also very easy to kill with cavalry or in choke points from their lack of armor. But usually this isnt a problem against AI, I kind of always made balanced armies. But I'll take a look at it.

will you be updating for the new patch?

@MisterSunShine well, there are quite al ot of reasons to do so, but they are quite situational
-Better units take the same slot in the army as low quality, but provide more kick. Armies are limited and require a general too btw.
-They die less as they generally have better armor
-You do not always have enough people to employ cheaper units, but this is quite rare i agree

I love the concept but I am having some balance issues with unit upkeep. The upkeep of levy troops is extremely low compared to faction units. Early Triarii costs 550 upkeep and levies with javilins costs 100 upkeep.
Is this normal? if yes, what is the purpose then to buy high quality units instead of just spawing multiple armies with cheap levies who are much more cost efficient?
