I guess I could make levy troops a bit more expensive but you have to remember that your number of armies are limited. If you only make 20/20 armies of levies and you have a max army number of 4, then you don't have any backup good armies and no patrol armies.
Also levy units usually take different populations and they're also very easy to kill with cavalry or in choke points from their lack of armor. But usually this isnt a problem against AI, I kind of always made balanced armies. But I'll take a look at it.
-Better units take the same slot in the army as low quality, but provide more kick. Armies are limited and require a general too btw.
-They die less as they generally have better armor
-You do not always have enough people to employ cheaper units, but this is quite rare i agree
Is this normal? if yes, what is the purpose then to buy high quality units instead of just spawing multiple armies with cheap levies who are much more cost efficient?
