Boeing X-32 Joint Strike Fighter

The Boeing X-32 was an experimental VTOL American stealth fighter. It competed in the Joint Strike Fighter Competition to become the next production multi-role fighter for the US military. It ultimately lost to the X-35, the prototype F-35. The X-32 sported a large delta wing, though production models were intended to have a conventional tail. For higher maneuverability, it’s single engine had a 2d thrust vectoring nozzle. VTOL/STOL capabilities came from a pair of additional nozzles in the center of the aircraft. Only one X-32 was ever built.
