The link below has more information about compatibility and the mod in detail, but to address major points:

• Redux is a combination of a quest and alternate start mod. It is not compatible with other alternate start mods since they essentially do the same thing.
  
• Most of vanilla has been left untouched to avoid breaking anything, but it does require a new save.
  
• The original Dragonborn questline can still be done at anytime, it's just optional. Head to Dragonsreach and talk with Balgruuf to pick up from there.

To progress after the intro, you need to reach level 10 and then head to Solitude, Windhelm or Whiterun. Look around for an NPC and they'll help get you on your way.
