How to actually get better at The Rise of Jumbotron

Heres some basic and semi advanced strats to help you improve in the official Rec Room quest, Jumbotron.

Pistol (Laser Pistol) Guide

The pistol is a great weapon to use if you don't have a second controller or if you haven't been able to glitch in the shotgun. To reload the pistol, simply grab the highlighted handle on top of the gun. Or if you only have one working controller, just simply throw the gun in the air and make it do a flip, as seen in this video. https://youtu.be/9Z3BJCCKIXM

Below are the acts you can find them in.
4 in armoury, aka the first room you spawn in with the mirror.
1 in act 2 at the beginning of the level.
1 in act 7 at the beginning of the level down the ramp.
2 in act 8 in front of where you spawn, and in the last room on a cardboard box.
2 in act 9 ontop of the railings closest to the exit door.

Machine Gun (Laser Burst Rifle)

The Laser Burst is a okay weapon to use if you don't have a shotgun. I truly only recommend using this weapon on the boss due to the high fire rate. To reload the gun, simply grab the highlighted handle on the bottom of the gun. The video attached is how you should use the weapon on the boss. https://youtu.be/5YxUv5AUjl8

4 in armoury, aka the first room you spawn in with the mirror.
1 in act 1 first thing on your right in front of you.
1 in act 2 in the end of the level.
1 in act 4 in the room on your right.
1 in act 5 on the chair on your right.
1 on act 8 in front of you when you spawn.
2 on act 9 (Boss) on your left when you spawn.

Sniper (Rail gun)

The rail gun is one of the better guns in this quest, just make sure you have good aim. Many dual wield this gun due to its high damage but low fire rate. To reload the sniper, simply grab the highlighted handle on the gun.
Below are the acts you can find them in.
1 in act 3 at the bottom of the ramp leaning against the wall.
1 in act 4 in the room on the right.
2 in act 5 in the spaceship.
1 in act 6 directly in front of you when you spawn.
1 in act 7 on of the barrels in front of you when you spawn
1 in act 8 in front of you when you spawn.
2 in act 9, one is on the mini platform closest to the entrance of the level and the other is on the railings on the left next to the ladder.

Shotgun (Laser Shotgun)

The shotgun is one of the best weapons in Rec Room. The mass majority of players prefer to use this gun over the others due to its high damage, spread fire and decent fire rate. To reload the shot gun, simply grab the highlighted handle on top of the gun.
Below are the acts you can find them in.
1 in act 2 on the mini room on the right where the mice spawn.
1 in act 3 in front of you when spawn behind the lasers.
2 in act 4 on your right when you spawn, one in the room and the other near the terminal in front of the room.
3 in act 6, one directly in front of you when you spawn and 2 near the lasers down the ramp.
1 in act 7 directly in-front of you when you spawn.
2 in act 8, one directly in-front of you when you spawn and one on-top of a terminal right before you enter the second room where all the mice spawn.
2 in act 9 both are near the exit where you can take cover. One is on-top of the crate and the other is below the crate.

Basic Strats

Dodging
Dodging is one of the most important skills to know when trying to beat this quest. The best way to dodge with the new hit box update is to strafe either left or right. when you see an enemy projectile coming towards you either lean away or walk.

Glitching in Weapons
While it is possible on both screen and vr, I will only be showing how to do it on vr. Also let me clarify, this is NOT cheating. It is allowed in official leagues such as Jumbotron League. The best way to glitch in weapons on quest and pc is to look at the scoreboard and when the time is halfway through 0 put it on your back/shoulder holster, as shown on this video.

The way I found best to work is to put it on your back/shoulder holster one second after the music stops. Also, after the quest is over you can glitch in up to 3 weapons by going through the exit door the same time you would drop a weapon on your back.

Dual Wielding
This is one of the most useful skills you can learn. Simply either throw a gun in the air or put it on your back and reload the other gun. Then do the same steps but switch guns. This is very useful with every gun but the Laser Burst Rifle.

Learning Spawns
This usually only takes 4-5 games to understand and once you do it can very useful to know where not to go and where to go.

Knowing what each bot does and how to kill each
All the basic red enemies can be killed in one shotgun shot and are the easiest to dodge and kill.
The elite bots can be more tough to kill. the elite flyers can be taken out with two very well aimed shotguns shots. The ground elite bots can just be a pain, these take up to 3 shotgun shots. The boss is the hardest to dodge since he shoots in front of you. The best way to dodge jumbo is to duck down while hes shooting at you. Lastly the big robots with a laser canon are called assassin bots. Try to hit these in their back on their battery pack.

Last few tips
Dont stay still.
Try to have fluid movement.
Dont make teammates miserable by stealing their guns or making fun of their skill.
Dont shoot every barrel you see because they give points, points share between others!

Advanced Strats

Triple Shotgunning
This is just dual wielding but with an extra shotgun on your back. After you shot both shotguns in your hands switch to the one on your back. I don't recommend reloading till all the ammunition is out. https://youtu.be/HZL1p0OTXeQ

Learning Routes
Make a plan for yourself on the route you would like to take each level, try this out for a few games and make minor and major adjustments that are needed to be safer and or faster. You can also have different routes depending on how many players your playing with and who your playing with.

The laser pistol only is better in lasertag because of the increased fire rate and the ability to basically have no reload cooldown, In most pvp maps one shot to the head with a shotgun will insta kill unless it was edited.
