Deuteranopia Green Red Color Blindness Aiming Outline

Omschrijving
This is a color blindness accessibility mod.

Changes the aim outline of a targeted zombie to be blue when locked on, and white when not locked on. Works by modifying aim outline fragment shader.

Aim outline was originally green when locked on, and red when not locked on. Horrible for dudes with Deuteranopia.

NOTE:

The aim outline may turn a yellowish color if your aim skill is really poor, or you're using a sniper at close range. This yellowish color is normal. If your aim skill is moderately high, you'll probably never see this.

Tested for Deuteranopia, on build 41.68

Not tested for Protanopia.

Thank you for the mod, I only recently realized there was a colour difference at all!

Hi, its possible make the outline invisible? I want to put in a pvp server, so i need to make the server overwrite the users settings

Could you please make the "base colors" configurable, i. e. a general mod to change the outline? I find it extremely hard to see at times as well but I'm not colorblind. I'd like it to be a more expressive color that doesn't blend in with the surroundings as much. Often enough, it's e. g. dark green on dark blue with a blue-black clad zombie, for example...

My idea is to show to zombies seen by the character but hidden to the player because of the 3D isometrical view, as explained in this old reddit post : https://www.reddit.com/r/projectzomboid/comments/dnqndh/solution_to_the_oldest_problem_in_project_zomboid/
I'd love to have a mod like that, if you could make it it would be awesome, if you can't or don't want to could you at least tell me which file(s) I would have to modify to make this possible? I'm a web dev so I know how to code but can't figure out where to start to mod PZ.

It's possible ya. There are so many factors that affect when the outline appears. I don't really want to remove those factors because they are mechanics designed to improve immersion. This is just an accessibility mod.

Could you make it possible to always display the outline even when zombies are far away?

If the devs do make it good enough, I wanna say thanks for this mod while we used it! :lunar2019piginablanket:

Looks like the game devs have decided to add their own colorblind options. We'll see what they cook up first. :FalconZH:

It must've just been a weird bug. After a few restarts something must've changed and it started working! Appreciate the mod but I was wondering if you were planning on changing the moodle colors too I think that would be a great addition! Thanks!

Just tested this mod in a new server and fresh install of latest build; works fine. Have you enabled it properly in your server? You friend may have to sub this mod too.
