How to defeat Cor The Immortal in episode Gladiolus
By Chimera
With this fight I would hone in on parrying as much as you can and hitting back to further increase your rage meter.

Guide and Tips
When you parry you will gain rage and when you reach X4, you will reach maximum damage output.

When you hit back you will gain technique points.

When you reach the max technique you can use Maelstrom, wait until you reach X4 rage and then use maelstrom. You will destroy Cor, if not he should be pretty low.

This is my first guide so I'm sorry if it's crap

You really only need to parry ragezerker Gladiolus to 2x or 3x to really start chipping intensely into Cor's HP. Save up the Technique bar for when you reach the stage 3 and can access if you did the main story the dual wield sub technique that at 3x or 4x can really start melting cor's HP pool.

This fight isn't suppose to be long or drawn out get in and get out and don't be afraid to smash the dodge button to roll out of the Cor's rage states heavy hits as those will crush you if you don't roll out of the way

My fastest completion is 1:30 (One Minute Thirty Seconds.)

Update Tips:

Forget facing physically Cor. Actually turn around and parry x/square on the controller at the last possible point and Gladiolus will frame skip shield parry and keep hammering where you can once or twice Cor with hits while he's stunned. You need to keep the aggression and parrying up

Or Cor will say something along the lines of: "I expected more from the kings shield." And Cor will skip to his 2nd or 3rd rage state early.
