Erik's D&D Tools - Health

Description
What's This?
A panel for controlling a character's health without having to interact with the mini directly. It requires the Agent mod (linked below).

How Do I Use It?
  • Copy or spawn the Health panel from this mod into your game
  • Create an agent using the Agent mod (linked below)
  • In the "Character" field of the Health panel, type your agent's name
  • In the "Health" field of the Health panel, type a value
  • To change health, type a number (e.g., type -10 for 10 damage)
  • To set health, type a fraction (e.g., type 95/100 for setting to 95 HP out of 100 max)
  • Click the corresponding button (Change Health or Set Health)

Details
  • Latest version is 1.1
  • This mod requires the agent to have a unique name
  • (If it doesn't, you can instead use the agent's GUID: right-click > Scripting > GUID)
  • This mod assumes the agent's first bar represents its health
  • Agents' bars can be modified via the agent interface (see below)
  • As such, this mod isn't strictly necessary for manipulating agent health
  • If you don’t know what a button does, right-click it for help
  • Feel free to leave questions in the comments!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been away for a while; I've kind of moved on to other projects. That said, I tested just now, and this seems to work just fine. Some notes:

- Please read the documentation above. All the problems mentioned in the comments are addressed there.
- You need to turn the character into an Agent first, using the Agent mod. It is linked above.
- You need to type the character's name into the "Character" box before you can modify its health
- You make the health go down by supplying a negative number in the Health box, then hitting the delta ("triangle") button
- You can edit the health bar max values by typing the current health as a fraction (e.g., "85/100") in the Health box and then pressing the checkmark button

How are you supposed to edit the health bar max values? Also there seems to be no button to reduce by a quantity, just to increase.

Just uh bumping this cause it's been an issue for a bit but the triangle and circle can't be pressed/if it does press them nothing is generated.

Why can't I press the triangle and circle buttons and generate the correct UI:orb:

Hi! I have some more feedback for you...so the problem I was having was that the piece I was trying to use was actually 2 linked pieces (a figure and a base) and I figured out after much trial and error that BOTH pieces must be unnamed when making the agent or it does not work! I just unlinked them, cleared out the name of the figure (which I didnt know was there, it was not mine but one of my players) and made sure the base was also unnamed, and then it worked just fine!
Just wanted to drop this here in case anyone else was having any issues. My group played with these last weekend and they are fantastic! Thank you so much for your work!

THIS IS EPIC

Thanks for the feedback, kyetan22! Are you looking to increase the maximum above 100? That's doable right now with the setting functionality (via the check mark). Type in the new current and maximum as a fraction (e.g., 85/110), then click the check mark.

Or, are you looking for the current value to be able to exceed the maximum value? That's currently disallowed, by design (because at my table, we were modeling health, and used a separate bar for temp HP). If the latter, perhaps I could add a toggle.

This would be way more useful if the value could go above 100
