5 steps to crisp aim
By monobee
In this guide I will teach you what is aim and how to practice and get good at it, aim isn't just 1 skill, in CSGO it's a combination of multiple skills, that if well put together you can achieve clean/crisp aim. There's 5 steps, so without wasting any of your time let's get to it.

Crosshair placement.
crosshair placement is moving your crosshair in unison with your movement to where you think the enemy might be at. A good crosshair placement doesn't even need really crispy aim and insane reflexes cause if done right your crosshair should be at the enemy's head and you should've have him dead to right. If you think about it if your crosshair is already at the enemy's head or close then all you need to do is adjust it a bit and left click. The best way to practice your crosshair placement in my opinion is to play prefire on Yprac practice maps. It may be very difficult for beginners but you can adjust the level. I recommend you start at +100 health this will give you infinite health and ALWAYS USE 100% spawns, just until you get used to the angles, then start lowering the hp gain, currently I can finish it at 75+ hp, and still have 800 health after finishing a round.

Spray/recoil control
What is Recoil? CS GO Recoil — it’s how your crosshair goes in all sides while shooting. CS:GO Recoil Compensation defines how to properly manage the scope, so that the bullets hit the target as accurately as possible. Coming back to the crosshair placement it's important to realize that having a perfect crosshair placement at all time is impossible, so we compensate for it by spraying. Recoil control is the hardest mechanic for beginners to learn and its also what will get nova's to rank up, as I've noticed that most of the novas and certainly all of em that I played with suck at spraying.
So, how to get better? Play Recoil master Workshop map, https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=419404847&searchtext=recoil+master

Settings
Use the following settings, lock your movement, use nonspread which will disable the random bullets in the recoil, Ghosthair and T target just like in the screenshot.

Levels:
Start at the first distance and practice till you hit 90% consistently and then move the distance more, till you feel comfortable at the 4th distance then start practicing to hit 10 HS with 90%

Reflexes
Sometimes having good crosshair placement and good spray isn't enough cause an enemy could appear from a different spot, maybe flank you or even in crossfire situations So, you need to rely on accurate and fast reflexes. And there's a lot of ways to practice that from DM, to aim labs, but my preferred way of practicing my reflexes is the workshop map

Counter strafing
Some dude just starts to whine in the voice chat about having had his crosshair perfectly positioned on the enemy's head and missing the target by some incredible chance. And that guy starts to blame the tickrate, alleged choke, large ping, Gabe himself, or the opponent and, of course, grieves about the game being cracked and impossible to play at all.

Yes, such things also happen, but rather rarely. There is no way they occur each round such people shed crocodile tears about it. In these situations, with a probability of 99% the players themselves are the ones to blame, because they either do not counter-strafe at all or do it in a wrong way.

Strafing
Movement to the right and left is called counter strafing and CS physics this could give you more speed like in Bhops or help you bait a shot from an awper, or run for dear life to save an AK, BUT when moving the second you let go of your "D" or "A" key your movement doesn't instantly becomes 0 and that is why you can still be in accurate even when your crosshair is right on the head, cause you're actually still moving.

Counter strafing:
And that is when the so-called counter-strafe mechanics comes to help. Which, if you wish, can also be called cancellation of displaying the stop animation for the character model. To achieve that you need to hit the opposite key, in other words move in the opposite direction for example your peeking to the right so you press "D" when you see an enemy you press "A" and shoot you can also keep holding "D" and "A" which is what I do, So, you were peeking right with "D" you saw an enemy and you're still pressing "D" you press and hold "A" key as well and take the shot

Practice
I recommend the workshop map https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2185699891&searchtext=
It's just like aimbotz but much better, because you've different modes that you can play, you could even change knives to check out the animations, play RUSH which is like a reflex practice, spray transfer, prefire and much more!
Game Sense
Finally the combination of all that we have mentioned is aim, but game sense will also give you an advantage and improve your aim as you would expect where the enemy might peek from next, and you will improve this skill by playing AND COMMUNICATING with your teammates, Deathmatch is also a good way to get a good sense of when an enemy might re-peek or how he/she will peek etc... but try to play on good community servers if you're not farming XP and you're decent enough at the game "Master guardian+" otherwise you will just get demolished the entire time and it won;t be fair for the people trying to get better as well.

The end.
Thank you for tuning in, I hope that I've helped you learn something new, and made cs more competitive. Please consider giving this guide an award if you'd liked it, I would really appreciate it.
Peace. <3
