Mods recommendation for The Outer Worlds

A list of mods to futher improve your experience in this game.

Quality of Life

Most of these mods are fairly easy to install, just place the pak(s) in your Paks folder - The Outer Worlds\Indiana\Content\Paks

The Outer Worlds Mod - Minimal HUD[www.nexusmods.com]
This mod turns off everything in the HUD except your HP bar, your crosshair (it cant be turned off or it's impossible to use sniper scopes and similar), your quest location icon and some essentials. No fps loss, no bans!

INSTALLATION

• Put this file in C:\Users\*user name*\AppData\Local\Indiana\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor, and make a copy of your previous file

since the gorgon dlc PlayerStatusBarMode=TimedFade and CompanionStatusUIMode=TimedFade no longer function correctly, they just stay on.

Adds a vending machine to the Unreliable

Unreliable Clean Windows[www.nexusmods.com]
Texture edit to make the windows in the captain's room on the Unreliable clean.

Map Zoom Range Increase[www.nexusmods.com]
Increases the min and max zoom range in the map.


Sort Consumables by Effect[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds effect to the front of each consumable name allowing sort by effect through alphabetical sort


No Fall Damage (non-fatal heights)[www.nexusmods.com]
Removes fall damage from heights that are not fatal.

Pack mule perk will now add 50000kg carry weight

Supernova Patch[www.nexusmods.com]
Optionally Patches Saving anywhere, Fast Travel anywhere, and forces a particular difficulty

Removes the bleeding effect from the edges of the screen when the player character is hurt.

I used auto hotkey for rebinding map.

Dmg Chart
From this chart, you can see what type of dmg is good agianst what type of enemy.

I love the minimal hud mod but for some reason the names keep showing on the enemies head...

I wish someone finds a way to remove that too.

The vending machine mod sounds good to me, I am playing through my second time, and I tend to clutter up on a lot of things that I imagine may be useful down the road. I am usually wrong on that one. Anyway, being able to sell off before landing at a new destination will save time for me, so I am going to look into that one.

Forgive me the devil's advocate roleplay, but playing on anything below supernova is inherently cheating because it makes the game easier. Same goes for visible HUD and aiming recticles/crosshairs.
