I've had a few reports of the ARC troopers showing up as skeletons for some people, I can't seem to narrow down why this is happening since I used the base GAW skins for them. I'm currently working on a fix for this in the form of a custom skin pack which will contain custom skins for characters in this mission but also planned future missions. a temporary fix would be to play the mission in the editor and just change the skeleton units skins to the blue ARC troopers.

There's also some weird bug with the flags not capturing. Moving your troops out of the flag capture radius after eliminating the droids guarding them seems to work; I'll be investigating this once the skin pack is finished.

Map and Skirmish mission

This is my first attempt at both because I wanted to familiarise myself with the editor for other mission ideas.

Its a recreation of the star wars battlefront map however this doesn't contain have the meat grinder ice cavern. Instead designed the map for the skirmish mission adding two extra fortified positions as well as adding crates, sandbags and rocks to fit MOWAS2's cover mechanics.

A couple things you might want to know from my play tests:

-In the harbour area there's sniper nests above the building on the left, I can't seem to get soldiers into them despite my many attempts to rectify this issue so I don't have a fix.

-The buildings are a little finicky so cover on some areas are absent so I'd take it slow when assaulting these positions.

-When commanding vehicles to move through the gap between the two harbour buildings they only seem to go so far however if you manually control the vehicles you can guide them through; even with an AT-TE. Note that this can save a lot of your troopers lives.

-The troops that you must keep alive during the mission are the green clone sergeant in the beginning, the arc trooper next to him and the clone trooper captain that comes with a platoon that you can call in later on. I added this loss condition for narrative purposes.

@Mr.Gulag Yeah you're 100% right although the breeds used was a duplicate of the ARC troopers from a mod that I had activated at the time when creating the map and I had no Idea at the time. Reason I've not revisited this mod to fix it's issues is because I planned to create some custom characters to replace them, I've just not had the time to as of yet because I'm swamped with other modding projects.

hey sorry if im beating a dead horse here, but the reason the arcs are skeletons for people could be caused because they're custom breeds, not the missing skins. if the breed file isnt included in the map download, that is likely the issue

there also was the mission where the 501st boarded the Tantive IV in search of the death star plans, there was also the mission where they put down a prison riot on the death star

@chronicvarigon a theed map could be done yes, the storm troopers would have to be equipped with fletchett launchers from the jedi knight games not sure why but they're effective for killing jedi in this game. Maybe the devs went with the lore with how projectiles are effective against lightsabers, there's also grenades, flamethrowers and melee to. but yeah that's a great idea for a cool mission.

I hear where you are coming from, the unfortunate limitations of a WWII simulator are that it does not have the relevant, support necessary to simulate truly accurate Urban Warfare, or the floors and ceilings, etc, etc, oh well, at least some of the more conventional battles are possible to recreate, such as the battle of Jabiim, I figure the battle of theed could possibly work, I mean the on mission from battlefront II where the Queen was harboring fugitive Jedi

@chronicvarigon and yeah I Qel-Dromas tomb In the clone wars game, it was pretty epic for the time playing as Mace Windu mowing down armies of droids on thuel. ATM though I've been working on a campaign and creating custom skins for the characters as well as some skins for someone else who's making a campaign so I'm pretty swamped for the time being LOL.

@chronicvarigon yeah it's just there's issues with creating multi-story building compositions due to there not being any objects that act as floors?ceilings. Asked the devs about it and they said the Gem editor isn't designed that way, yet a highly requested feature. only work around I've found is concrete floor in the warhammer mod but that would mean players would have to download both mods which would require a big chunk of GB space. It's either that or altering the design of the map, getting rid of the rooms inside the citadel that had command posts in them but that could mess with the flow of the map since a big major aspect of its design was the vertical warfare and flanking positions.

I feel like if I had been the commander of the droid forces, i would have had them digging literal trenches, and constructing pillboxes and bunkers, perhaps a couple of case-mates as well
