伊宁市（维语：غۇلجا, 拉丁维文：Ghulja），是伊犁自治州的地级行政区首府，位于祖国新疆西北边陲，地处伊犁河谷盆地中央。地理坐标为北纬43°50′～44°09′、东经80°04′～81°29′之间。东连伊宁县，西邻霍城县，南濒伊犁河与察布查尔锡伯自治县隔河相望，北依科古尔琴山。
Yining city is the capital of prefecture level administrative region of Yili Autonomous Prefecture. It is located in the northwest border of Xinjiang and in the center of Yili River valley basin. The geographical coordinates are between 43 ° 50 ′～ 44 ° 09 ′ N and 80 ° 04 ′～ 81 ° 29 ′ E. Yining County is connected to the East, Huocheng county to the west, Yili River to the south, Chabuchar Xibo Autonomous County across the river, and kegurqin mountain to the north.
