How to Duplicate Boss Souls and Items to Become God

Are you tired of sucking in Dark souls 1? Tired of being obliterated by black k***hts and just want to over-level and duplicate 99 divine blessings so you don't actually have to play the game? Or perhaps you want to cheese all the achievements or even learn basic speed-run tricks? You're in luck, casual, because this guide is the one for you. This guide will teach you the basics in absolutely destroying Dark Souls 1 Remastered (on PC).

Step 1: Create your abomination character

This is either the easiest or hardest step depending on your level of ADHD. Create your chad or chadette, choose any class with the masterkey (very important) and receive a life sentence for being caught with 1 gram of weed by the LAPD.

Step 2: Escape gay baby jail

Once you've created your child, it's time to play the game normally and escape jail. Yes, I said play the game normally. Watch the opening cutscene like a good hollow, escape your cell, get your ass torn open by bacon people, kill Oscar and kill the LA chief of police, Michel R. Moore. (I promise I did not have to google search that name).

Step 3: Become Markiplier and locate the blacksmith

It's time to actually start some exploiting. Once you've reached the Firelink Shrine after being attacked and kidnapped by a Magpie, head down to Not so New Londo by going down the stairs right next to the bonfire.



Once in the area, go right and up the stairs to travel into the Valley of Drakes, using the masterkey to unlock the shortcut early. Pick up the soul consumable to the right of the door once opened as we will be using this later, among a few other soul consumables.



Travel over the wooden bridge and through the valley until you reach the cripple dragon. Do NOT pick up the sword or shield. Walk past and pick up the proud knight's soul by dragon's hand (paw? claw?) Try not to linger and take screenshots for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam guide lest the dragon wakes up and devours your delicious ass.



Get past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ known as the Blue Drakes and make it to the bridge with 4 drakes guarding it. Turn right of the bridge and go up. There will be an elevator that will take you to Darkroot Garden with a bonfire.



Finally, the last stretch to reach the best Blacksmith in any game ever. Get past the Black k***ht and go as far up the mountain as you can until you reach the top. It's simple, just go up. Not hard man.



Once you've made it to the top, go left, following the lights until you reach a big ass door that leads you to a titanite demon. Simply walk past him as he is crippled, blind, deaf and most importantly decapitated and you'll made the man, the myth, Andre the Blacksmith . Go upstairs and take your well deserved rest at the bonfire for the 2nd hardest part of this guide is done and dusted.

Step 4: Commit soul fraud

"What? that was only the 2nd hardest part? You mean running past dragons, black people and stoned demons wasn't the hardest part?"

Yes, you filthy casual. You do not know what's in store for you next. Thankfully, this step is actually quite simple and can be done with a keyboard and mouse, but is slightly easier with a controller if you have one.

After resting and perhaps also crying, head down to introduce yourself to the legendary Andre. Exhaust all his dialogue, learn his swanky gesture and get ready to put in some work.

Firstly, open the 'Purchase' menu and open the arrows tab. Choose to buy as many wooden arrows as possible but do not actually purchase them.



Next, move away from Andre until you can open your system menu. Navigate to settings and highlight the 'Quit' option while sneaking your mouse around to open the items tab.



With your mouse over the items tab and the quit option highlighted, click 'E' and the left mouse button at the same time until both menus open at once (as seen below). The timing is tricky but once you get the hang on it, it is very simple. This can also be done with a controller where you click 'x' or 'a' on the controller in the place of 'E' on the keyboard.



Without using your keyboard (or controller), move the mouse over the soul you wish to use, for this example, the large soul of undead we picked up earlier. Click on the soul using the mouse and click on use. The game will then ask you to use how ever many of the consumable you want, which we choose the maximum value. This maximum value will be the highest number of wooden arrows we could have bought. Choose the max number of souls to use and GOOD JOB! You have mastered consumable duplication! P.S do not use the Proud Knight's Soul yet as we have bigger things in store for it.

BONUS INFO

Once you've stolen from the taxpayers, go back to Andre who will promptly laugh at you for being shy. Buy 999 wooden arrows, or any arrows really because you are ballin' in souls now. This allows you to now use 999 of any consumable on the go (Well, not ANY consumable, there are limits. Mainly, this allows you to use 999 of any soul item EXCLUDING BOSS SOULS and humanities). Simply open the arrow tab in your inventory, choose to drop 999 arrows without actually dropping them and then do the double menu trick again. Ta-da! Cheating on the go!

Step 5: Time for actual duplication

Remember when I said that running through crack valley wasn't that hardest part? Well congratulations for making it this far as this is easily the hardest part of the guide but also the most important part.

Firsly, we talk to our god Andre once again and choose to the 'Purchase' option again. Go to the arrows tab again (why the ♥♥♥♥ are arrows so broken in this game) and highlight any arrow type (for this example, Large Arrows). Time for the fun...



Once here, highlight the large arrow and move your mouse over the weapons tab (the tab directly to the left of the arrow tab). Whilst the arrow is highlighted and your mouse over the weapons tab, press 'E' (or 'x' / 'a' on your controller) and your left mouse button as fast as the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Flash to hopefully buy 999 of a regular weapon (in this example, the broadsword).

Sounds easy, right? WRONG! Unless you are actually Jesus or are playing on a FPS equivalent the amount of sex you've received today, this is basically near impossible on your first few tries as this trick is most definitely frame perfect. The timing is very precise and you will most likely fail 1000 times before getting a successful attempt. If your attempts result in one of these two screens below, go back to the arrow tab and highlight the weapons tab again as you've failed the glitch. If you can't get this to work, try operating a cryptocurrency mining operation on your computer to tank your framerate as framerate is directly tied to how fast the game runs, which may increase your margin for error.




I did the trick and forgot to screenshot how it will look if it works and you cannot pay me to do it again so here's how it looks, thanks to my waifu who taught me this trick:

After crying for hours, you should hopefully be able to buy 999 of the broadsword (or any weapon of your choice depending on your arrow selection). Make sure you buy 999 of the weapon, which will put you in mega-debt similar to how a student loan operates. Thankfully, unlike with the American education system, you can cancel this debt through printing more money in the next step.

Step 6: You can now dupe whatever you please!

Finally, the hard part is over and you can finally dupe whatever you want (excluding things you can't use/drop in the inventory menu, such as spells).

After magically turning into a maximum level GF waifu, go back into the Andre and open the purchase menu (do not let the PTSD d̴̺̯̿̒ẻ̶̞̽m̴͔̀̍ó̴͈͙ń̶̘̘'̵̧̍ṡ̷͖ ̸̲͚̈́g̵͖̈ẹ̴͎̿͐ț̷͑̔ ̷̬͗̌t̸̐ͅȍ̷̤̥͊ ̸͔̕y̶̟̒o̸͚̤͆u̴̻̣̓). Click on the weapon you've bought 999 of but do not actually buy the weapon. Simply open the purchase option for the weapon and leave Andre so you can open your system menu.





Similar to the 999 soul and humanity dupe glitch, highlight the quit option while hovering your mouse over the items tab. Press 'E' and the left mouse button to open the tab. If it works, both menus will open.

Now, using only the mouse, choose any item you wish to dupe, including upgrade materials, covenant items, souls, boss souls, items, etc. For this example, I will be duping 99 of the Moonlight Butterfly's Boss soul. Make sure you use the mouse and click on the item you wish to dupe. Once the 'use, drop' options appear, select 'drop' and once the 000 prompt appears, click on the down arrow to drop -998 of the item and confirm. This will give you 99 of the item.






Ta-da! You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheater. I love you so much, you did it. This works on anything that can be dropped. As seen below:

BONUS!

The 999 soul consumption glitch can also be combined with this duplication glitch. Simply duplicate 99 of any souls, preferably the largest soul you have (such as the proud knight's soul you're still hopefully holding - I'll be very upset if you used it). Drop 98 of the duped soul and use the 999 arrows technique to consume 999 of the soul. Pick up the 98 souls still sitting on the ground and rinse and repeat as much as you want.

You're done!

3/28/2025, can confirm it still works. There are a few things different though. You won't be going to 999, so if ur getting 99 ur doing it right. If you are able to buy the 99 weapon, equip it then continue on from the step where it says open Andre's shop, walk away at the purchase screen (of the item you should have equipped) and then do the quit - switch to items thing from there. Also I suggest hovering over wooden bolts as shown in the video, as other arrows and bolts didn't seem to work very well for me. A last thing is if ur not sure you got the bugged item, if you do it again when it's at purchase it'll should -98.

I did this a year ago and it worked but trying it now it seems when you try to use the input glitch to buy hundreds of weapons from andre it consumes the souls but doesnt give you the weapons now :/ Ive tried this several times and it always consumes all my souls and doesn't do anything. I dont have the weapon in my inv that Im trying to glitch the shop screen with.

Hey, Mr. Pug. No, if I remember correctly, you must have access to PC controls for this method to work. While you can use a controller in conjunction with the PC controls, the mouse is absolutely essential to making this dupe work. Sorry.
