Introduction
I'm assuming you're here because you fit into one of these categories:

You want to slightly recolor a character's skin
You're a filthy weeaboo and want to play as Kanna
You want to turn Mortaccio into a giant penis

Well, guess what? You're in luck!
Locating Character/Enemy Sprites
I'm assuming you're playing this on Windows. If you're not, I'm terribly sorry.

First, you'll want to find Vampire Survivors in your Steam Library.
Right click on that, click on Properties, and then Browse Local Files.
Once you're there, you're going to want to follow this path:
>\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Vampire Survivors\resources\app\.webpack\renderer\assets\img

Once you're in the \img\ directory, find a file called characters.png. This is the file you want.

It should look like this.

Creating Custom Skins
If you only want to import a skin or custom UI, you may skip this part

Personally, I use paint[www.getpaint.net] for this part. Depending on the complexity of the re-skin you're trying to make, it may take a while. For the sake of this demonstration, I decided to make Mortaccio slightly more pink.

All I did was run the Pencil tool with a pink-ish color at around 33% opacity over all of Mortaccio's sprites, and bam! Pink Mortaccio. It's that easy!

And you can do this with literally any character, or even item. Draw to your heart's content! Do whatever the hell you want!*

* : I'm legally obligated to clarify that to the extent of my knowledge, the developer of this game does not encourage heavy modding, however this may not be true
Importing Custom Skins/UI
This part should be really easy. You don't really need an extensive knowledge of computers to know how to do this, especially if you know what this guide is about.

Hopefully you're still in the \img\ directory. You are still in there, right?

Good.

For this demonstration, we will be using the Isaac Mod by Unito on GameBanana. The link to the mod is right here.[gamebanana.com] Full credits to them.

Once you've downloaded this (or any other character sprite mod), all you have to do is replace your current characters.png file with the one you just downloaded, and you're finished! And this works for all other elements of the game too! If you just downloaded a custom UI like this one,[gamebanana.com] just replace your resources folder with the one you just downloaded!
Congratulations!
You can now mod Vampire Survivors to your heart's content!*

*: i have no idea how to mod enemy stats or player damage, that's a different guide
