All The Mods That I Use For The Witcher III OG

So, after a lot, and I mean a LOT of people have asked me what mods do I use in each of my screenshots, I decided to list them all here. This is the most complete modding guide you can find on Steam, with over 250 mods to choose from.

BE AWARE: I did NOT make any of these mods, I just listed them in the guide, that is all. The credit goes to the great modders that made them. Just wanted to make that clear, so there will not be any misunderstanding. And if any of the creators of the mods I have listed want me to take them down, just let me know in the comments.

Before You Start Modding Your Game

⚫ The Witcher 3 has a very small mod limit, about 50 mods maximum before your game will be stuck forever on the loading screen.
However, there are programs that will greatly increase the mod size. I did this mistake when I first played the game, and I had to reinstall all my mods because I couldn't figure out what the problem was. So it's just better to increase the size of the mods before you even start downloading said mods.


⚫ Mod Limit Adjuster[www.nexusmods.com]


⚫ Download the file Asi Loader (x64), and place it where the .exe is (SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64)
Now extract the file from ModLimitAdjuster.zip to the .exe folder. Now open ModLimitAdjuster.cfg, and pick whatever limit you want, I set it to 500.
Also delete dsound.dll if you have it, use only dinput8.dll which comes with ASI loader.


⚫ On the same page with Mod Limit Adjuster, go to the posts section, and find the post made by forcedtoREG, and download the file he has posted, that is, Mod Limit Adjuster with Debug Console Enabler, which is a mod you also need to have.
Download the files and extract them in the same folder where the .exe is.

(Replacement for the Unification patch. It is required for a lot of mods, so you need to download it)

⚫ Most mods use scripts. And if some scripts conflict with eachother (And they will, believe me) you'll get errors, either won't be able to use either of the mods, or won't be able to even start the game at all. Script merger fixes those conflicts, or should i say, merges them.
Installation details are on the mod's page on Nexus, I won't say anything different or better than what the author did, and i won't just copy-paste all his installation info. And on the plus side, there are also plenty video tutorials there to help you.


⚫ The Witcher 3 Mod Manager[www.nexusmods.com]


⚫ This program allows you to manage your mods, their load priority, and even being able to disable and enable them. It is a MUST.
Download it wherever you wish, open it, and select the game's .exe when asked. Now select the folder where you have the mods installed. Now all you have to do is to set the priorities of the mods. Under certain mods I will tell you whether or not you should add a priority over another mod. I am not an expert, mind you, but I have been using these mods for over 2 years with no issues.

Just place the file in:
C:\Users\Yourname\Documents\The Witcher 3
If everything worked fine, then you are good to go. This is how my list looks like.


0 is like the highest priority for me. So let's say if you download 4K Women Reworked, Ciri or Yen, and you give it loading priority 3, and you also download Ciri black retexture for the DLC outfit, you must give that mod that modifies Ciri's clothing a higher priority. 0, 1, or 2. Otherwise it won't take any effect. If the mods file that i use didn't work, just use it as an exemple on whatever priorities you need to set for the mods.

Graphical Tweaks (Nvidia Only)

Nvidia users can improve the graphics of the game further with some tweaks in the Nvidia Control Panel, or Nvidia Profile Inspector.

⚫ Open Nvidia Control Panel, and select Manage 3D settings. Then program settings, and add the Witcher exe.

⚫ Set Anisotropic Filtering to 16x.

⚫ Set Multi-Framed AA (MFAA) to ON.

Installation

Nearly all the mods for the Witcher 3 go into SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\Mods.
If you do not have a Mods folder, just create one. After you download a mod simply extract it, and send it in the Mods folder. If the mod comes with 2 more folders, like, Bin and DLC, move the "DLCx" file to DLC, and mods like SortEverything comes with a XML file, that needs to go to The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc
Read the first section of the guide to learn how to deal with script issues and mods loading management.

Closing Words

This would be all. By default, all these mods are compatible to work with eachother, provided you will merge them right. As long as you do not break anything and install everything as it should be installed and merged you'll be fine. Please let me know in the comments if you have any problems, but bear in mind, that you will get better help from the authors of the mods themselves. However, i will do my best to help you.
If i do stumble upon another mod that i like, i will add it to the guide.
If you are one of the modders who's mod i have showcased in this guide, and you want it removed for whatever reason you may have, just let me know. I don't want to give the impression that i wanted to steal one's hard work.

Great list, I'd replace true fires with the true fires v4 tho, the performance is much better. It's doesn't appear to be on nexus tho, I found it on a witcher 3 modding discord.

That is odd. Are you sure it is Brothers In Arms and not Brothers In Arms LOD bug fix? Which increases the LOD of a lot of textures, eyes included. Regardless, do not merge it, give glowing eyes higher priority than BIA.

I'm wanting to use Glowing Eyes together with the Brothers in Arms bug fix. According the merging tool, however, they're not combinable. Should I just leave them uncombined? And if so, is there anything in particular I need to do to get them working together? I know how to use the priority system but I want to make sure I don't unwittingly break anything because of something I don't know about.
