Slime Rancher Modding Guide

This guide will explain in detail how to download and install mods in Slime Rancher. MacOS and Linux are not supported.

Install Slime Rancher Mod Loader (SRML)

1. You need to register an account at https://www.nexusmods.com for downloading SRML and mods, only email and password are required.
   
2. Log in and go to https://www.nexusmods.com/slimerancher/mods/2, then click Manual -> Slow Download to download SRML.
   
3. Put the downloaded .exe file into the game folder and run it (you can access the game folder from Library - Home - Slime Rancher - Gear - Manage - Browse Local Files)
   
4. You notice that the game folder has a new folder named "SRML", which means the installation of SRML is successful.

There are two subfolders, Libs and Mods in the SRML folder. The Mods folder is where you put the mod files afterward.

Install Mods

You can find plenty of cool mods at https://www.nexusmods.com/slimerancher/mods/ I will install the "Extra Vac Slots" mod now.

You can check the requirements to see what is actually needed. Notes that some mods require other mods to work.

Click Files -> Manual Download -> Download -> Slow Download.

After downloading, unzip the file and put all the files inside (ExtraVacSlot.dll) into the Mods folder.


The mod has been installed successfully. Launch the game and click on the Mods button.


It allows you to view the currently installed mods.


In the game, you notice that the number of slots had increased by 3, from 4 to 7. You can configure the number of extra slots. The mod website has detailed description.


To uninstall a mod, simply move that mod's file out of the Mods folder.

Installing other mods is a similar procedure. Here are some other useful mods:

nevermind i figured it out, but also now it wont show as srml and it just says srml installer

where do you go to get to the slime rancher is it in my file explorer? or is it in my steam slime rancher app?
