In 877, when Luis the Stammerer became king of the Franks, Aquitaine was incorperated into the Kingdom of France. From then on, France was never again split in two when a monarch died.

Features
  • This mod gives the option to unite West Francia under either France or Aquitaine after certain requirements have been met.
  • The primary use is to make it easier for the AI to consolidate western Europe for longer periods of time.

I agree with Quizer, it would be cool if Occitan nobles could create a faction to install one of themselves as a new king of Aquitane after the decision fires to unite France- so there's still the off chance that wEurope still balkanizes, but much more dynamically. Would probably need a whole other mod though- a Struggle where Occitan nobles could call Iberian and even British kings to "liberate them" would be awesome. Just dreaming though- that's outside this mod's bounds, and it does lots already in terms of balance. Cheers, Ramune!

Suggestion, Could you potentially exclude the duchy of barcelona from the region of aquitane?
Since currently playing in the 867 start, you need to control the entirity of barcelona to be able to unite france

@Ramuné mod is making Louis 'the stammerer' as Louis 'the great' is this normal? Historically we only know him as the stammerer.

@LoneEagle You may only unite them as a king. The requirement is listed in the decision itself.

Hello, I'm having trouble uniting the two kingdoms after creating the Empire of France. I needed at least 2 kingdoms to create the Empire of France and I thought I would be able to United Francia and Aquitaine afterwards but that doesn't seem possible.

Quick suggestion there should also be a decision to restore the kingdom of Aquitaine after the thrones have united. It would create an ongoing struggle to either unite or separate the French thrones.

btw just want to say thanks for making such a solid mod, even the AI uses the mod sometimes so france doesn't dissolve, which it used to all the time. Thanks!

@lol33445 If the chosen start date is 877.10.8 or later, the two kingdoms will be united at game start automatically. Is that not working for you either?
If the game is started prior to that date, a decision will appear if
[list]
[*]you are a king,
[*]k_france and k_aquitaine possessde jure land,
[*]you hold either k_france and k_aquitaine,
[*]your culture has Frankish heritage.
[/list]
Perhaps a mod of yours is clashing with those prerequisites?

Alternatively, you could download the Title Manager mod and quickly unite the two titles manually.
