I'll give that a try when I get home. I had already found the "hero" characters but changing them did not seem to induce any change in game. So I'll try your other suggestions.
And absolutely zero pressure, but if you ever found the time and felt like making a few bucks, feel free to reach out. I'd 100% pay you to have this mod made, should that ever be something you'd want to do.
Either way, thank you so much for your help thus far. <3
If I remember correctly, there are base-characters for each race - editing those would make every for example lizard smaller, but that's one option.
There could also be player specific base characters for each race, but I'm not sure.
(I think they have "avatar" or "hero" in their name.)
Alternatively:
Create a copy of the base female lizard character - you can find this in the "Root Template Manager"-Tab, change the scale and set this character as the root template for your player character (if you can find it).
I don't have time to look into this or mod myself rn, so I hope this helps.
I was also wondering if editing a custom character was possible? Specifically my wife is wanting her female lizard custom character to be smaller. I've tried on and off for the past week trying to figure it out, and I'm a complete dunce.
Thanks, I found my mistake, I put the .lsx file in the wrong folder.
Please check the "Editing Character Stats" (under "Editing Character Stats & Skills") and
"Important For Character Creation" (under "Editing Character Appearances") segments again.
Sounds like you didn't create or you put the .lsx file in the wrong place.
(Create a new .txt-file, copy my provided content for the Fane.lsx and paste it into the .txt, save and then change the filetype into .lsx.)
Or maybe just change your mod loading order.
Then check if the small preview window displays your character correctly when selecting him.
- after changing his "Root Template ID" to whatever you want, right-click the text saying "Root Template ID" and copy to clipboard
- in the Beast.lsx, change the value after "RootTemplateOverride" into the one you just copied
- save and you should be good to go
