Hello there, in this guide i´ll show you, how to play Dark Souls 3 Online, while the From Software Servers are offline.

The following ports needs to be forwarded for hosting (Creating a Server):

UDP and TCP: 50000, 50010, 50050, 50020

How long will there be offline?
Probaly still a while, FromSoftware says, it won´t get online, till Elden Ring was released.

My personal opinion is, that the server will probaly never come back.

FromSoftware said, that they will starting to fix the servers now. (27.05.2022)

Downloading the Mod

You can download the Mod here:
https://github.com/TLeonardUK/ds3os/releases

Inside you will find a "Loader" and a "Server" folder, if you want to host a server, you will need the "Server" folder, if you just want to connect/join you´ll need the "Loader."

Joining a Session/Server

Extract the Loader folder somewhere and open the "Loader.exe."

It should automatic detect your Dark Souls 3 folder, if it doesn´t just change it manually.
To join a Server just click on it and press "Launch Game."

If everything worked, you should see a screen simular to this:

Hosting a Server

Extract the Server folder somewhere and open the "Server.exe."

The server was started now, and you should be able to connect.
After the first start you will find in your "Saved" folder a file called "config.json"
This file is used to configure the server.

You can shutdown the server by pressing CTRL+C.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this mod safe to use?
Well, the author itself says, that he didn´t got banned so far, and other people I know also didn´t got banned.
However if you want to go sure, you can of course create a new Steam Account and use Family Sharing.

Is there a way to host a private Server without forwarding ports?
Yes indeed, you can use a VPN Tool like "Radmin VPN" or "Hamachi" to create a VPN and to connect to each other.

I am using this mod with my brother and I can say you that it's safe for use. I wanted to play co-op with him so we have bought this game but the oficial servers have been shut down and I think the servers will never come back so using this mod is a good alternative.

@Saint Lena The Dev says no, and from my experiece you souldn´t get softbanned, but if you want to be completly sure, use Family Sharing. :)
