SOLVED: Game not launching / Stuck on DirectX Install.

Use the steps on this guide to lauch the game if you are stuck on DirectX install. Enjoy

Detailed guide for the not-so-savvy user:

1.- Restart your computer.
2.- Open Steam.
3.- Right click on "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition" (this will open a menu).
4.- Click on "Properties" (this will open a new window).
5.- Select the "Local Files" tab at the top of the window.
6.- Click on "Browse Local Files".
7.- Open the "directx" folder.
8.- Scroll down and locate the "DXSETUP" file.
9.- Right click the "DXSETUP" file and select "Run as administrator".
10.- Select "yes" and proceed with the installation.
11.- IF THE INSTALLATION FAILS, DO NOT PANIC AND PROCEED TO STEP 12 (DON'T GET CREATIVE).
12.- Restart your computer.
13.- Open steam and right click on "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition" (this will open a menu).
14.- Click on "Properties" (this will open a new window).
15.- Select the "Local Files" tab at the top of the window.
16.- Click on "Browse Local Files".
17.- Open the "vcredist" folder.
18.- Right click on the "vcredist_x86" file and select "Run as administrator".
19.- Select "yes" and proceed with the installation.
20.- The installation will start but might not pop up an "Installation complete" window.
21.- Wait a couple of minutes
22.- Restart your computer.

If the game still is freezing on launch, just open the installscript.vdf in a notepad editor, and delete the part that says:

"Run Process"

"VCRedist"
{
"process 1" "%INSTALLDIR%\\VCRedist\\vcredist_x86.exe"

it will hopefully launch fine after this, and there wont be any issues with deleting this because yovue JUST installed these manually a minute ago

Tip: When waiting for the VCrdist to install fully, press ctrl + shift + esc, and it will bring up task manager. Near the bottom of Background Processes will be Windows Installer. When that disappears, it has finished.
