How to fix bad performance in VR.
By Zunion
Hello there!
I used to have issue with bad performance on my 1070ti in VR even on lower resolution through VD or AirLink it doesnt matter. I thought it was due to low GPU but now i have upgreaded to RTX 3080 and have same issues. FPS drops random spikes when turning with head etc. But recently when Nvidia added support for DLDSR i tried it on Phasmophobia and it didnt worked until i changed resolution in windows from native 1440p to new DLDSR 1920. Then it worked! So i had an idea. When you are in VR game runs another instance of game for spectator. Just turn your resolution in windows to 800x600 before you hop in VR then launch Phasmophobia and enjoy buttery smooth experience! It will force spectator window to run at 800x600 res so you will save lot of power for you VR headset.

so in my limited research, it seems the spectator window is really just a jpeg updated at your fps so it shouldn't take that much processing power. does anyone know if that is not the case for phasmapboia specifically?
