Toyota MR2(SW20)

MR2（エムアールツー）は、トヨタ自動車が、日本国内市場向けに1984年（昭和59年）から 1999年(平成11年）までの期間に製造・販売していたクーペ型小型乗用車である。

初代はカローラ/スプリンターベースであったが、2代目はベース車がセリカ/コロナ/カリーナと大型化し、車両型式もSW20に変更された。
エンジンもセリカと同じ直列4気筒の2000ccにターボチャージャーを追加した3S-GTE型と、そのノンターボ版となるスポーツツインカムの3S-GE型が搭載された。
また当時世界初の試みとして、ステアリングの切れ角に応じて光軸が左右に可動する、ステアリング連動フォグランプ（黄色）も話題となった。
しかし大幅に増加した車重やエンジンパワーに対し、足回りとブレーキの貧弱さは否めず、前輪接地圧不足からくるハンドリングレスポンスの悪さ、オプションにもLSDが設定されないなど、スポーツ走行時における数々の問題点を指摘された。
ボディカラーは「スーパーホワイトIII」「スーパーレッドIII」「ブラック」「ダークターコイズマイカ」「クリスタルパールマイカ」「スーパーブライトイエロー」が設定された。
Gリミテッド特別仕様車「スーパーエディション」には「ブルーイッシュグレーアージェンタムマイカ」が特別外板色として設定された。

The MR2 is a coupe-type small passenger car manufactured and sold by Toyota Motor Corporation for the Japanese domestic market from 1984 (Showa 59) to 1999 (Heisei 11).

The first generation was based on the Corolla / Sprinter, but in the second generation, the base car was enlarged to Celica / Corona / Carina, and the vehicle model was changed to SW20.
The engine is also equipped with the 3S-GTE type, which is the same in-line 4-cylinder 2000cc engine as the Celica with a turbocharger added, and the sports twin cam 3S-GE type, which is its non-turbo version.
In addition, as the world's first attempt at that time, the steering-linked fog lamp (yellow), in which the optical axis moves left and right according to the steering angle, became a hot topic.
However, it is undeniable that the suspension and brakes are poor against the significantly increased vehicle weight and engine power, the handling response is poor due to insufficient front wheel contact pressure, LSD is not set as an option, and so on. The problem was pointed out.
The body colors are "Super White III", "Super Red III", "Black", "Dark Turquoise Mica", "Crystal Pearl Mica", and "Super Bright Yellow".
"Blueish Gray Argentum Mica" was set as a special outer panel color for the G Limited special edition "Super Edition".
