@ÚwÚ I think the river is just so big if you choose to build your base on a location with the huge river tag in vanilla rimworld, and the small river which I've called moat is made by using mod Terraform Rimworld

How did you get the river to be so big and flood into your base?

@mfilip625 @Mairaine Playz Games I agree with both of you. I actually have considered adding some fortifications, like cannons, arsenals, artilleries and other stuffs. But in the end I didn't do so, mainly because I couldn't find a suitable place to put these fortifications. If I put them outside the fort, that's simply not in line with the reality of history. If I put them inside, they will occupy those precious space for pawns' living, considering a lot of space is already occupied by walls and moats which can't be omitted. Anyway thanks for your suggestions, I will try to build a more defensive colony in my next try :)
