POTENTIAL PROBLEM (With Solution)
So, after kerblasting this exploit about a hundred times (I am patient and stubborn, it will get worse) I started experiencing some audio glitches, chopping, audio lag, and then my audio just stopped all together. The only solution I found was to quit and reboot my game.

TLDR
Glitched to hard, audio quit working. Save, quit, reboot game. Magic.

As far as I can tell, this exploit can be used at any time (at least on my current playthrough)

Emerald Vale
Emerald Vale Community Center (EVCC)















Approach the Northern door of the EVCC and enter. NOT THE DOOR ON THE ROAD












Look left. There is a Fridge and two Cabinets
In the first Cabinet is 10x light ammo, in the second is 1x Mag-Pick. Loot and leave. (You don't have to loot the light ammo, but...why not?)

Repeat for ammo and Mag-Picks

Leave a comment if it do or don't work, I wanna see if this is a playthrough-specific exploit or universal.

Everything below is my initial guide and my set up when I discovered the exploit. I am only leaving it as a form of paper trail for anyone who feels like digging deeper, and it is (probably) irrelevant to the use of the exploit.

The Long Tomorrow
EDIT: Do not need The Long Tomorrow Selected, completed exploit with The Frightened Engineer selected.

LOCATION
Emerald Vale Community Center, North and slightly West of Edgewater


There are two doors on the Emerald Vale Community Center, the Southwest facing door on the street (Front door) and the North facing door (back door).


After killing the marauders that inhabit the area, enter the Community Center via the Northern door.

No enemies are present in this room, but I am sneaking anyway
EDIT: Have been performing the exploit standing (it's faster) with no issues so far.

On your left after entering the door, there is a Fridge, and two Cabinets. In the first Cabinet is 10x Light ammo, and in the second is a Mag-Pick.





Loot both items, and leave by the same door you came in. (Northern, back door)

Once you load back into Emerald Vale, turn around and enter the Northern door again.

Check both Cabinets, the contents should have reset.


As far as I can tell, it only works on the Cabinets. Bins and other storage does not appear to reset. I looted the next room (Cafeteria style benches and a vending machine) and the bins inside did not reset.


Details/Questions
If there are further questions/experiments on this exploit, I will keep a saved file for this character for reference.

I am going to continue on with my game, leaving this quest uncompleted and the building unlooted (other than the Cabinets). I want to see how far into the game I can use this exploit.

EDIT: Returned after Comes Now the Power, and sprinted through the Community Center to get the data pad The Frightened Engineer quest. Triggered all/most enemies, grabbed the datapad and left. I didn't attack anyone, just ran through and left. Returned to back door, and exploit still works.

Unsure if these actions affected the exploit

First time I loaded into the Community Center after killing the marauders, I looted the first room, left, and fast traveled to the Workbench on the landing pad at Edgewater. I then modified a weapon (Whisper Quiet Barrel on a Joch Bolter Pistol), and fast traveled back to the Community Center, entered, and found it reset. Have been farming since.

Same for me, but it's only the second cabinet and it's 15 Energy cells.

I'm glad someone else found out about this. My current playthrough gets me 5 bits and an adreno.

So I guess the items vary by playthrough, but you can still get something. I wonder why mine locked on magpicks...

So I made a new save to check if the items change, and they do. This time one had Armor Parts, while the other had 2x light ammo. They can still be exploited however.

So I tried this, and instead of 10x light ammo I got 5x heavy ammo. The other container was empty from the beginning. I was able to do the exploit for the heavy ammo instead however.
