All about Hades Keepsakes Guide

In this guide I will show you how to get and what are all of the keepsakes and chthonic companions related to each character, which guarantees [Something From Everyone] and [Complete Set] achievements. I will also explain and present some achievements related to getting the keepsakes. I will divide the guide into two parts, the second being with characters from later appearances, which can be considered spoilers.



First, to acquire the keepsakes, just give each of the characters a Nectar. They will only give you a keepsake the first time they are gifted. After that, giving Nectar 5 more times each of them, you'll reach their locked hearts. Each one needs a different requirement for this. After unlocking the heart, when giving Ambrosia for the first time, six of them will present you with one of the Chthonic Companions.

Spiked Collar

Keepsake acquired by giving nectar to Cerberus for the first time. It is located in Hades' house, next to him. Wearing the collar increases your maximum extra life in each level +13 / +38 / +50 . To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Mymidon Bracer

Keepsake acquired when giving a nectar for Achilles for the first time. He is located in Hades' house, to the left of the entrance to the River Styx when you die. The bracer's attributes are: receive -20% / -25% / -30% damage from the front, but receive +10% from behind. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Black Shawl

Keepsake acquired when gifting Nyx for the first time. She is located in Hades' house, opposite the exit to Zagreus' room. Using Black Cloak deals +10% / +15% / +20% damage when attacking undamaged enemies and also when attacking enemies from behind. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Bone Glasshour

Keepsake acquired when gifting Charon for the first time. He is located on any level of Hell, always being a choice of paths during the escape. He is guaranteed to appear before each boss. Using this keepsake increases the duration of items from Well of Charon by +4 / +6 / +8 encounters. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Chthonic Coin Purse

Keepsake acquired when gifting Hypnos for the first time. He is located in the House of Hades, he is the first character you interact with after dying and emerges in the House of Hades. Using this keepsake grants you 100 / 125 / 150 to spend as you wish, once per escape attempt. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Skull Earring

Keepsake acquired when gifting Megaera for the first time. She is one of the Fury Sisters from the final encounter in Tartarus, before moving on to Asphodel. At some point after defeating her, she will start appearing in Hades' house in the hall where the Wretched Broker is. Using this keepsake you deal +20% / +30% / +40% more damage while at 35% or less. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

After 6 bottles of nectar and unlocking the heart, giving the first bottle of Ambrosia to Megaera, she will give you the Cthonic companion Battie.

Your Summon deals 2500 damage in an area near your closest foe, then continually down the line.

Can't be used against any Fury Sisters.

Distant Memory

Keepsake acquired when gifting Orpheus for the first time, which is in Hades' house, next to the House Contractor. Using This keepsake deals +10% / +20% / +30% more damage to distant foes. To level up to 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Harpy Feather Duster

Keepsake acquired by gifting Dusa for the first time, which you will occasionally find in Hades' house, at any point in it. Using it, broken urns have a 3% / 4% / 5% chance of containing . To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters. After 6 bottles of nectar and unlocking the heart, giving the first bottle of Ambrosia to Dusa, she will give you the Chthonic companion Fidi.

Your Summon joins you for 30 sec, repeatedly firing shots that petrify foes and deal 70 damage.

Lucky Tooth

Keepsake acquired when gifting Skelly for the first time. He will always be in the infernal weapons room, just before starting the escape, as your training dummy. Automatically restores up to 50 / 75 / 100 when your Total Health is depleted (once per escape attempt). To level up to level 2, he must complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters. After 6 bottles of nectar and unlocking the heart, giving the first bottle of Ambrosia to Skelly, he will give you the chthonic companion Rib.


Your Summon creates a distraction with 250 , provoking your foes to attack it until it dies.

Conch Shell

Keepsake acquired when gifting Poseidon for the first time. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from him upon entering the chambers. The keepsake guarantees that you will find a Boon from Poseidon as soon as possible. His Boons effects have a +10% / +15% / +20% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Owl Pendant

Keepsake acquired when gifting Atena for the first time. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from her upon entering the chambers. The keepsake guarantees that you will find a Boon from Atena as soon as possible. Her Boons effects have a +10% / +15% / +20% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Eternal Rose

Keepsake acquired when gifting Aphrodite for the first time. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from her upon entering the chambers. The keepsake guarantees that you will find a Boon from Aphrodite as soon as possible. Her Boons effects have a +10% / +15% / +20% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Blood-filled Vial

Keepsake acquired when gifting Ares for the first time. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from him upon entering the chambers. The keepsake guarantees that you will find a Boon from Ares as soon as possible. His Boons effects have a +10% / +15% / +20% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Adamant Arrowhead

Keepsake acquired when gifting Artemis for the first time. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from her upon entering the chambers. The keepsake guarantees that you will find a Boon from Artemis as soon as possible. Her Boons effects have a +10% / +15% / +20% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Overflowing Cup

Keepsake acquired when gifting Dionysus for the first time. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from her upon entering the chambers. The keepsake guarantees that you will find a Boon from Dionysus as soon as possible. Her Boons effects have a +10% / +15% / +20% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Lambent Plume

Keepsake acquired when gifting Hermes for the first time. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from him upon entering the chambers. This keepsake grants you +1% / +1.1% / +1.2% movement speed and dodge chance when ending an encounter quickly. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters. Reaching a 20% dodge chance with the quill during an escape causes you to complete the achievement [Haste of Hermes]. Hermes is the only Olympian god whose keepsake does not guarantee that his Boon effect will appear as soon as possible. The only way to get it, is simply hope that will be a path option during escapes.

PART TWO - CHARACTERS THAT ARE POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Pierced Butterfly

Keepsake acquired when gifting Thanatos for the first time. At a certain point in the game, he will eventually start appearing in an escape encounter, helping Zagreus clear the level. After it happens the first time, you will eventually be able to find it in Hades' house, in front of the Administrative Chamber. When using his keepsake, gain +1% / +1.5% / 2% damage each time you end an Encounter without taking damage. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters. Reaching 30% extra damage with the brooch during an escape, causes you to complete the [Thorn of Thanatos] achievement. After 6 bottles of nectar and unlocking the heart, giving the first bottle of Ambrosia to Thanato will earn you the Chthonic companion Mort.

Your Summon deals 3500 damage in an area in front of you, after a brief delay.


Can't be used in Thanatos's encounters.

Frostbitten Horn

Keepsake acquired when gifting Demeter for the first time. Demeter's Boon effects will be available along with the other Olympians from the moment you first arrive at the final boss, even if you don't kill him and complete the run. As soon as you start the next one, the first Boon effect found will be hers. You will have this option whenever you encounter a Boon effect from her upon entering the chambers. The keepsake guarantees that you will find a Boon from Demeter as soon as possible. Her Boons effects have a +10% / +15% / +20% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Cosmic Egg

Keepsake acquired when gifting Chaos for the first time. Chaos' Boon effect are a debuff that evolves into a buff after 6 encounters. To acquire one, it is necessary to enter a Gate of Chaos and for that, you will need to sacrifice -23 in Tartarus, -25 in Asphodel and -27 in Elysium. Using this keepsake you can enter Gates of Chaos without losing . Chaos Boon effects have a +20% / +30% / +40% chance of being rare or better. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Shattered Shackle

Keepsake acquired when gifting Sisyphus for the first time. You'll be able to randomly encounter him in Tartarus as you entry chambers, and a path leading to him may appear. The keepsake garantee your Attack, Special Attack, and Shot to deal +50% damage while not being empowered with Boon effect. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters. After 6 bottles of nectar and unlocking the heart, giving the first bottle of Ambrosia to Sisyphus, he will gift you with chthonic companion Shady.

Evergreen Acorn

Keepsake acquired when gifting Euridice for the first time. You can to find her randomly in Asphodel as you switch chambers, and a path leading to her may appear. In the final encounter in each Underworld region, take 0 damage the first 3 / 4 / 5 times foes hit you. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Broken Spearpoint

Keepsake acquired when gifting Patroclus for the first time. You can find him randomly in Elysium as you switch chambers, and a path leading to him may appear. When you first meet him, he will be anonymous and you won't know his name. As long as you don't know his name, you won't be able to gift him. To make this possible, it will be necessary to access the Codex of Achilles after the first encounter and from there you will know his name and be able to gift the first nectar. Using this keepsake, become immune to damage after taking damage for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 seconds. Reloads after 7 seconds. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. Keepsake acquired when gifting Persephone for the first time. She will be present in Hades' house, alongside Cerberus, after you beat the game 10 times. After every 6 / 5 / 4 encounters, you gain +1Lvl (a random Boon grows stronger). To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.

Sigil of the Dead

Keepsake acquired when gifting Hades for the second time. When you gift him for the first time, you can't receive anything. It will activate his locked heart and then just will be unlocked after beating the game 11 times. After 10 times, you complete the main story. When you finish the game the 11th time after that, when you return to Hades' house, a dialogue will be available and in this point you can gift him for the second time, being rewarded with Sigil of the Dead. Your Call becomes Hades' Aid, which briefly makes you invisible,your God Gauge starts 10% / 20% / 30% full. To level up to level 2, complete 25 encounters using it. To level up to level 3, complete 50 encounters.


Leveling up all keepsakes at max level grants the achievement [Friends Forever].

Beating Hades 10 times, not the entire game. If you haven't defeated him the first time and found Persephone yet, I believe you will understand when you do.

Thank you for putting this together. I just started playing recently and was trying to figure out how to get the last keepsake I was missing. I believe it's the Sigil of the Dead. One question - when you say "beating the game 10 times", do mean just beating Hades 10x's? Or do I need to finish the story 10x's?
