higher hunger in trade off to presumably better combat stats and more hp is certainly a worthy trade off
The default hunger rate of bonedogs is 2. I set it to 4 on purpose to make raising the puppy more challenging. This is the trade-off since the fully grown white bonedog will be extremely powerful and fast.
A way to start this game is to quickly travel to the UC territory, and look for dead animals on your way there. Skimmers drop foul meat that can be used to feed the dog. You can lure the skimmer herds to the city guards, and you will not run out of meat.
Wild animals do not suffer from hunger. The "eating corpse" feature of wild animals is used to immersion and clean corpses only. Animals in your party can only feed on items. In the future, I will try to integrate one of the "Feeding on Corpse" mods into this mod.
Thank you!
I just had to go in and use the mod tool to make a copy of the "guy with a dog" start and modify it there. tho, i know that the way i did it also changes the global race hunger, not just the one I start with.
To the mod author: to correct this issue,
1. open your custom start file
2. then open the squad file
3. select and open the animal file (i assume it's "Boneyard Wolf" or whatever your custom name is if you made a derivative)
4. on the right column open the "race" option (presumably where you also edited the fur color previously) and adjust the "hunger rate" in the stat's section from 4 to 1
