Legend of Tianding Achievements

A guide for achievements in The Legend of Tianding.
Will improve with some screenshots and more information as I play the game some more.

Story Achievements

All of these will happen as you play the game, with no special requirements.

Hero Arrives
Start the game.



Eat the Rich
Defeat the First Boss



Killing Machine
Defeat the Second Boss



Phantom Kunoichi
Defeat the Third Boss



Death Battle
Defeat the Fourth Boss

Sidequest Achievements

These are the achievements you can get by doing things around Taipei city.

Dispel Rumors
Help all of the beggars around Taipei city and the island.



Steal Her Away
Visit A-Guai for a sidequest after each boss fight.



Coward
Fight Fire With Fire
Speak to the family at the front of the island village after the fifth boss fight. Each dialogue option gives one achievement.



Not Today
Complete all sidequests before beating the final boss.



Demon Slayer
Buy from the blacksmith a few times.



Big Eater
Buy from the cook a few times.



The Real O.G.
Listen to the song in town.

Collection Achievements

Achievements from collecting items from among the dungeons throughout the game.

Sewer Rat
Urban Explorer
Tour Guide
Tomb Raider




Find all of the treasure in each of the dungeons. Look for shadowy walls and drawings of chests.


Collector
Taoist




Complete all sidequests and take all items from enemies.
Normal enemies will have a talisman for their weapon type, grab them with the sash to gain the item. Bosses also have an item that can be taken from them. Use the man outside the main temple to revisit areas and fights to get the items you missed. Enemies that glow when you are in a flashback have an item you can take.

Misc Achievements

Captain Mustache
During the fifth boss fight, keep you ally alive.



Talk to the Fist
WIP



The Hero of the People
Complete the game on hard without turning down the difficulty.



The Legend
Complete all other acheivements.

When you get the choice to "Beat" or "Trick" in quests, ALWAYS CHOOSE BEAT FIRST. You will be able to come back after and do Trick, but not the other way around (at least for the Coward/Fight Fire with Fire achievement). This will save you a significant amount of time!

In regards to the encounters where you have to choose to trick or fight an enemy, you can choose either option, quit without saving, and then do the other option to get both achievements in one run. You will have to switch areas and come back in both cases.

Thanks Elmo. That's what I was afraid of. I chose trick first in both encounters so I suppose I won't be getting all the achievements in this one.

Good guide! Can confirm that the 'Talk to the Fist' achievement is for if you choose the 'Beat him' option at the end of the sidequest to rescue A-Guai. You can get both achievements in one run if you beat him first and then choose to trick him the next time, although you have to pay A-Guai's... uh, let's say landlady, 100 yen for the chance to try again.
