Morne's Great Hammer - STRENGTH & FAITH BUILD (PVE)

A guide for the Morne's Great Hammer of Eygon of Carim.

Start/About

For this build you will need a lot of faith(30) and strength(50) so it is pretty late game build.
That is why starting class doesn't matter for this build.

This build is also my personal preference.

So lets dive in to the build

Weapon(s)

Of course you will need the Morne's Great hammer for this build which can be achieved very early on.
It will be dropped by Eygon of Carim.
You can find Eygon of Carim in the Undead Settlement before the lift that leads to your first encounter with Siegward.

• Cannot be Infused or Buffed.
  
• Upgraded with Twinkeling Titanite

Some locations for Twinkeling Titanite:

• Purchased from Shrine Handmaid, once Dragon Chaser's Ashes have been given.
  
• 3x sold by Greirat of the Undead Settlement for 12,000 each after his pillage trip to Irithyll Valley.
  
• 1x by trading a Prism Stone to Nestling.
  
• 1x by trading a Large Leather Shield to Nestling.

For this build you can also use a shield. That you can wear on your back to get its bonus.

Shield Of Want

Location: Looted from a dead corpse in the lake with a giant worm at Smouldering Lake.
Increasing the number of souls absorbed when enemies are defeated.

or the Grass Crest Shield
Location: Road of Sacrifices: From the Crucifixion Woods bonfire, drop down to the right of the large crab towards one of the large trees. Loot the corpse on the right side of the tree.
slightly speeds stamina recovery.

Rings

For this build you will need 4 rings:

• Chloranthy Ring for the extra stamina recovery. Location: Found in Undead Settlement. After defeating the Demon alongside Siegward of Catarina, scale the nearby building and exit into the adjacent tower by jumping from the roof. Maneuvering down the tower, the ring will be located under several wooden boxes near the Mirrah Armor Set.
  
  
• Lloyd's Sword Ring Boosts Attack Rating by 10% when HP is full. Location: On a corpse inside Cathedral of the Deep, near the entrance on a ledge next to the Giant who attacks you when running by.
  
  
• Havel's ring for the increased max equip load by 15%. Located: Created with the Soul of a Stray Demon and 5000 souls, both of which the Stray Demon drops upon being killed. The Stray Demon resides at the Old Wolf of Farron bonfire.
  
  
• Ring of Favor increases max HP by 3%, max Stamina by 8.5%, and max Equip Load by 5%. Located: Guaranteed drop from one of the Sulyvahn's Beasts near Archdeacon McDonnell. To reach McDonnell start from the Pontiff Sulyvahn bonfire. Go through the door and make your way through the courtyard full of Giant Slaves. Enter the building that can be used to reach the Silver Knights. On the ground floor, strike at the wall on the left to reveal a ladder headed down. You will face a difficult battle facing 2 Sulyvahn Beasts

Soul levels

Try to go for this soul levels

• STRENGTH: 60 (minimum: 50 to use the weapon)
  
• FAITH: 30 to use the weapon
  
• VIGOR: 40 atleast
  
• VITALITY: 20+

Armor

For armor it really doesn't matter, be aware that Morne's Great Hammer is very heavy so if you don't have alot of equipload you can't wear heavy armor. But I wear Eygon Of Carims armor set.

Bought from Shrine Handmaid in Firelink Shrine for 23,000 souls after either killing Eygon of Carim or defeating Dragonslayer Armour.

But it doesn't really matter tbh.

Extra's

and if you want full cosplay and take the moaning shield you need indeed more vitality but the guide is jsut my opinion and I hope it helps some peopl to try out this fun to use weapon

Regular roll is also good , fast roll is indeed very good to have

If you wanna fast roll you need heaps more vitality.

with the havel ring+3 and ring of favor + 3 you get a big equip load boost , around 27% more equip load

that is true, but the armor doesn't really matter like I said, that is why I just said vitality 20+ but that is just opinion wise

[Dark Soul]

Strength over 50 is a waste, and vitality will need to be much higher if using the Morne set, even more so if cosplaying with the Moaning shield too. It requires one of the highest soul level builds to even fast roll with all that, even more than full Havel.
