The story is part of Rio's folklore. From the balcony, friends Vinicius de Moraes (1913-1980) and Tom Jobim (1927-1994) spotted Helô Pinheiro in his sweet swing on the way to the sea and composed the international hit that ended up renamed the then Bar Veloso – the legend still today inspires the decoration of the salon, much sought after by tourists.
