How to soft-lock Half-Life: Opposing Force

This guide will show you how to soft lock opposing force. I have other guides covering the other half life games and i will link them at the bottom of the guide

How to do it

First you must start a new game (duh) and DONT skip the intro with console commands, when the intro gets to the part where you are standing next to a crashed osprey with enemies and friends all around you. Make a save just in case you mess up. The reason this area is so important is because a SMG (or m4 if you use HD models) is dropped by a soldier who is killed by a alien grunt to the right of you] Now you might think you cant reach this guy because of the osprey being covered in very dangerous electricity, you'd be right. Except for the part you are very wrong, because the electricity does no damage you can just walk right over the osprey and reach the soldier. Once you do you better hope he is dead so you can grab the SMG. If not, reload the save. I'd recommend playing on hard mode so the soldier can die faster. Now that you grabbed the SMG you can carry it over to the part where you get to play the game! After you get control make sure to control your urges for scientist murder so you dont waste all of your ammo, after you get your PCV (or not) make your way to otis. Now this might be the hardest part of the game because you have to murder otis to soft lock the game.


after you killed the best half life character there will be nobody to open the door for you! Oh no! AND you cant break the glass to slip through! You just soft-locked Opposing force! Congratulations!
