How to a-pose (All Classes )
By FlameMast
Have you ever played 2fort and wandered around, eventually finding an a-posing hoovy in the sewers, wondering how to do it? Well fear no more, as this guide will give you a basic guide on how to make your character a reference pose!

All Class (Normal)
Try to find a dispenser made from your team's engineer. Stand near it and killbind/type kill in the console. Make it as fast as you can back to where you killbinded and stand in the dispenser. While in the dispenser, pick up your weapon. Keep in mind that this method is easier to do if the dispenser is against a wall, because it will push you.
All class (Mann Vs Machine)
Equip a weapon that allows you to taunt. Go outside of spawn, and equip another taunt enabled weapon. Go back into spawn and make sure you have enough credits to upgrade something. Holding your specific weapon, enter the upgrade station and taunt. During the taunt, buy an upgrade. When done the process, you are a-posing which is indicated by a glitched viewmodel.
Scout
Equip either the Flying Guillotine, Bonk!, or Mad Milk. Walk outside of spawn and killbind. Hold down left click using your previously chosen secondary and while holding click, pick up the dropped weapon. Once picked up, you no longer have to hold lmb. Your success is visible with the help of a bugged viewmodel.
Soldier (Normal)
Equip and use the Beggar's Bazooka. Walk outside of spawn and killbind. Respawn and go back to your dropped weapon. Empty the ammo from the one you currently have. The last rocket can't be a misfire (4th shot). While holding primary fire, switch to your dropped weapon.
Soldier (Cow Mangler)
Use the Cow Mangler 3000 and the Mantreads. Rocket jump high enough to take fall damage. Occasionally in the air, you will switch to a-pose until you stomp another player or hit the ground.
Soldier (Banners)
Any 3 of the banners can be used for this method of Soldier. Charge up the banners by dealing damage, and switch to the B.A.S.E. Jumper outside of spawn. Then use the banner by holding down MOUSE1. Once completed, go to spawn and use the Resupply Cabinet. (P.S. The banner won't work but the parachute can work.)
Pyro
Switch to any flamethrower that can airblast (not phlog). Killbind outside of spawn. Respawn and empty the flamethrower you are carrying by holding RMB. While holding MOUSE2, pick up the flamethrower on the ground.
Demoman
Equip the parachute and any stickybomb launcher (other than the shields). With your secondary out, switch to a shield and refresh your loadout. You will not be able to charge, however you can activate the Jumper.
Heavy
Walk out of spawn and killbind with a minigun in your hands. However, the Huo-long heater is a good choice because of the increased ammo drain. Pick up the dropped minigun and empty it holding MOUSE1. When the clip is finished, continue holding down and pick up your previous weapon. In the same case as scout, you no longer need to hold fire after finished.
Sniper
Equip and switch to the jarate. Walk out of spawn and killbind. Have jarate still equipped and use it holding down primary fire. While still holding, pick up the dropped jarate. Once again, you don't need to hold down after you've finished a-posing.
Spy (Disguise Kit Required)
Sadly, only disguises can be used with this method. First, you can either disguise as Soldier, Pyro, or Heavy (you can use either team's disguise and that team has to have no class of the one you pick). Then switch to the disguise's secondary (switch to sapper and then b for those who don't know). Or at least, you then go into the reference pose! Just a reminder that this is compatible with the phantom method (using cloak and dagger and rapidly draining your cloak at all times)!
Outro
Thank you for reading my first guide! It means a lot to me. But before you click off, I'd like to make it clear that I didn't get this information by myself. I saw a TF2 wiki page and decided to give the information in the form of a steam guide here. If you'd like to read the article, go to https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Civilian .

@MrRiot not all classes are listed and sometimes you need to do specific things in order to do something on a class. :steambored: also sorry for pinging after a while (if it even works)
