Description

Finno-Ugric World is a new mod, that expands the cultures around Northern and North-Eastern Europe. The main aim of the mod is to fix historical inaccuracies in the region and correct them to the year of 1444. The mod adds new cultures, culture groups, provinces, national ideas.

The mod is currently a work in progress and in the future still include a new alternative starting date and many other ideas. Check the "Plans & Thoughts" section for info about the future developments.



Added a new alt-history scenario

New Cultures:

Finno-Permic:

- Muromian
- Meshcheran
- Meryan

Nordic:

- Gotlander

Religious changes:

Incorporated Anmaril's Religion Extender mod with little of my own changes.
It came with new good looking religious icons.

- Added a homeland for Livonian at the tip of Curonia.
- Changed the shape of Liefland(Culture changed into Estonian) and Wenden.
- Added Liefland and Ösel into Estonian state.
- Added new provinces around Neva.
- Added a new province north of Kazan for Mari.



Some ideas that we are planning to add to the game:

@Azvalon As I have not modded long and this is my first mod I do not know how to do everything. But I wanted to give missions so it would not be completely generic. I will streamline the missions for the next patch and think of new missions. But I would love to hear every ones ideas to make the mod better.

Nice, though I would love if the missions were more unique and not just focused primarily on conquest. Maybe have some cultural missions and flavour events.

@Azvalon a pagan religion is coming with the new patch. As well as a alt-history start date, where the Finno-Ugric peoples are free and thanks. I have realty liked modding.

Hmm, it would be great if there were also the Finno-Ugric folk religion(s) as being a pagan is best. But great mod either way.

@Sparkly Venice Do you mean Võro people? I see them more Estonian subgroup rather than compliantly own peoples.

The csángó are historically an ethnic group in moldavia, whilst the ugrians in the eastern carpathians are actually called szeklers.
