Disclaimer i guess
as you saw in the title, this guide is a work in progress. at the moment it does not have all the content it should and will have, and it may take a while to add all of it.
i also have some grammar stuff to fix by the time im done adding sections to this guide anyways too.

oh yeah and ignore this image ill get rid of it by the time im done with both the short and long act 2 sections.

Act 1(Short)
there are two sigils in act 1, fecundity and trifurcated strike, that are extremely powerful. trifurcated strike makes the card attack the three card spaces in front of it, instead of just the one, and fecundity puts a duplicate of the card in your hand when it is played. there is also a bee figurine in the first act, of which can unlocked by opening the painting. it replaces all your squirrels with bees, that deal 1 damage and fly. make a totem that is one of the sigils and the bug head with the bee statue unlocked and the first act will become insanely easy.
Act 1(Long)
As you probably know, you can make some pretty over-powered totems in act 1 (e.g. worthy sacrifice squirrels, unkillable squirrels, trifurcated/bifurcated strike on canine/bird, etc). But putting the "Fecundity" sigil on your totem can make cards incredibly powerful, for when you play a card with this sigil a duplicate of it is put in your hand. For example, a 1-blood card affected by a fecundity totem or that has fecundity can be sacrificed to play its duplicate and infinite amount of times, leading to infinite bones. Or a free card with fecundity could fill all empty spaces on your side of the board with itself whilst said free card is in your hand as many times as you want.

A totem with a bee head and a Trifurcated strike body

Another pretty insane sigil you can get on a totem (or card) is trifurcated strike. this sigil will make the card bearing it deal damage to the three spots in front of it (upper-left, up, and upper-right). this can make cards pretty useful, especially flying cards, for it would triple their power.

A combined wolf with trifurcated strike

the third, final, and probably most powerful of this list is the bee statue. unlike trifurcated strike and fecundity, though it is not a sigil. the bee statue can be given to you when/if you unlock the painting by making the playing board look like it does on the painting. The bee statue will replace all of your squirrels with bees. A bee is a free card with 1 power, 1 health, and the flying sigil. this is so powerful that the unlock all mod(https://inscryption.thunderstore.io/package/IngoH/Unlock_All/) does not automatically unlock it, but you can configure it to.

the bee statue/figurine, found after unlocking the painting

So, obviously, combining one of those sigils with the bug head on a totem with the bee statue unlocked is what makes act 1 incredibly easy. you can use the unlock all mod mentioned earlier to unlock the bee statue, and you can configure the starting totem mod (https://inscryption.thunderstore.io/package/MADH95Mods/TotemStartMod/) to make you start with one of the sigils listed above combined with the bug head as a totem. i guess you could also do squirrel head and fecundity with a squirrel side deck, but its not as good as the bees.
Act 2(Short)
there are two free cards in act 2, the skeletons and the squirrels. there is also a card called the Ouroboros, that will improve its stats and return to your hand whenever it dies. get your ouroboros to some really good stats, then make your deck 19 skeletons and/or squirrels and one ouroboros. every fight you will be able to play the ouroboros on your first turn
Act 2(Long)
As you probably know, there is a card that appears in all three acts called the "ouroboros" (though in act three it has a different name). you also probably know that when it dies it will go back into your hand with one more health and power.

of course, there is a way you can keep getting it killed without just using it in combat. on the third floor of Magnificus's tower, there is an enemy that never uses any cards that do damage to you that you can fight as many times as you want, known as the training dummy. keep killing him for enough money to get the ouroboros and a bunch of squirrels, then go to the trading dummy, hit the bell until you are about to get starvation and keep sacrificing squirrels for the ouroboros then hammering it.

once your ouroboros is at least 10/10 (but i suggest making it higher for act 3) make your deck consist of 19 free cards and your ouroboros. for some reason, whenever you start with a deck like this you will always start with the ouroboros and some of the free cards, making every round a turn one victory

Having an ouroboros placed on turn one of P03's boss fight

but yes, using squirrels can be kinda hard to do to improve the ouroboros, so if you want to do something different i have a strategy below

you need to have
1 Plasma jimmy (for 666 achievement)
1 Necromancer
1 Ouroboros
1 Pharaoh's Pets
4 Meatbots (for 666 achievement)
12 Free cards (if not doing 666 achievement use 17 free cards)

1. start a fight with the training dummy
2. hit the bell until you have the Necromancer, Ouroboros and Pharaoh's pets
3. place free cards then hammer them until you have enough bones to play the necromancer
4. play the necromancer
5. place enough free cards then hammer them to play the Pharaoh's pets
6. play the Pharaoh's pets
7. sacrifice the Pharaoh's pets to play your ouroboros
8. hammer the ouroboros
9. sacrifice Pharaoh's pets to play ouroboros twice
10. hammer them both
11. sacrifice the pharoah's pets twice to play two ouroboros
12. sacrifice the two ouroboros for 1 ouroboros
13. sacrifice the Pharoah's pets for 1 ouroboros
14. do 12 and 13 a bunch until your ouroboros has over 166 power and health
15. hammer all cards on the board (you will need to hammer the ouroboros twice)
16. hit the bell until you have the 4 meatbots and the plasma jimmy
17. place a meatbot(DO NOT place it under the force mage)
18. place plasma jimmy under the force mage
19. hit plasma jimmy's button
20. hammer plasma jimmy
21. sacrifice the meatbot to play your ouroboros on the far left
22. hit the bell
23. place meatbots on all empty tiles (should be three tiles left and three meatbots left)
34. sacrifice all meatbots for ouroboros
35. hit the bell

steps 15-35 are for 666 achievement

I found squirrel totem with hoarder to be pretty great in act 1, since each squirrel also lets you get any card you want from your deck. Then you just pick a squirrel each turn. If I hadn't made so many dumb choices at the trapper, it would've carried me through act 1.

Well, in Act 2 with the Grave Robber card and 19 rabbits I managed to grind out the Ouroboros to 999 because it's a self-sustaining loop you can pull off once you have 2 bones and the Grave Robber card. You generate infinite bones, infinite Ouroboros levels, and infinitely break the game's difficulty in half.
