Description

Adds a minigame to the Chancemaker building where you can play blackjack and bet cookies.

Upgrades and achievements

There are a number of upgrades and achievements. Here are their unlock requirements:

Win 7 hands of blackjack. (Upgrade)
Win 49 hands of blackjack and have the previous upgrade. (Upgrade)
Win 77 hands of blackjack and have the previous upgrade. (Upgrade)
Win 108 hands of blackjack and have the previous upgrade. (Upgrade)
Win 150 hands of blackjack and have the previous upgrade. (Upgrade)
Lose 21 hands of blackjack. (Upgrade)
Have a bank of 4 hours of CPS. (Upgrade)
Have a bank of 10 hours of CPS and have the previous upgrade. (Upgrade)
Have a bank of 30 hours of CPS and have the previous upgrade. (Upgrade)
Tie 3 hands of blackjack. (Upgrade)
Tie 7 hands of blackjack. (Upgrade)
Win 21 hands of blackjack. (Achievement)
Win 210 hands of blackjack. (Achievement)
Win 2100 hands of blackjack. (Achievement, Heavenly Upgrade)
Win a hand of blackjack with 5 cards in your hand. (Achievement)
Win a hand of blackjack with 6 cards in your hand. (Shadow achievement)
Hit on 17 or above without going over 21. (Achievement)
Win with a score of 5 or less. (Shadow achievement)
Go over 21 (Upgrade)
Play enough hands that the deck gets reshuffled (Upgrade)
Double Down 7 times. (Upgrade)
Be dealt a hand totaling 21 naturally. (Achievement, Upgrade)
Have the effect of the previous upgrade activate 7 times in one ascension. (Achievement)
Have the effect activate 52 times. (Upgrade)
Have the effect activate 169 times in one ascension. (Achievement)
Have the effect activate 666 times in one ascension. (Shadow achievement)

Menus

In the Stats menu, the General section will show how many cookies you've gained or lost through blackjack overall, and the Special section will show how many times the secret Chancemaker effect has activated. The Options menu has the ability to change the speed the cards are dealt (number is in milliseconds, lower is faster).

Disables Steam achievements.

Lumine — This is the choice of the original author, mattklose . There are a number of mods, including Steam Achievement Enabler, also by mattklose, that will enable Steam achievements for all your mods if you have it loaded last.

So apparently you can change the bet amount after the cards have been dealt, and the payouts respect the new bet amount, without you having paid the actual bet.

If you have the upgrades, then on the far left of the playing table is a column labeled "Cash" (or possibly "Bet Amount"). Underneath this is the word "Bet:" followed by two boxes: a number and a length of time. Clicking on these boxes changes their contents, and therefore your bet.

Alternatively, you can make your bet based on a percentage of your bank. To do this, go to the Options page, under Casino, click the Bank Percentage button to turn it on.

How do you change your bet amount, I already bought the upgrades, its not helping.

For those who want a higher limit for bets, the current limit was set so that the game doesn't become so easy that it's effectively a cheat. As it is, with proper play, it is possible to accumulate a huge amount of cookies with this mod over time. When all the upgrades have been accumulated, the player has many times the advantage over the house that professional card-counting blackjack players have.
