[1] In-Game Settings
After a lot of research and testing, I have successfully figured out the best audio settings for R6.

Main Volume Sliders
There are three main volume sliders: Master, Music and Dialog Volume.
  • Master Volume - My recommendation is to use the max [100%].
  • Music Volume - The music is annoying, so I suggest using the lowest [0%].
  • Dialog Volume - You need to put this at the middle [50%]. If it is on the max, you won't be able to hear anything when defuser is planted or hostage is being rescued. If it is in the middle you will hear the dialog and the game itself perfectly at the same time.

Dynamic Range
Currently, there are three options at the dynamic range: Hi-Fi, TV, Night Mode.
I heavily suggest using Night mode!
  • Hi-Fi - Loud gunshots but not very loud footsteps (because the other sounds are louder).
  • TV - Sounds are between Hi-Fi and Night Mode (I don't recommend this option).
  • Night Mode - This is the best option. Gunshots, explosions and reinforcements are much quieter, but footsteps are the same as in Hi-Fi and you can hear it much better now. (I suggest using this, you will notice a big improvement.)

Other Settings
The settings that I didn't mention above are just a matter of preference. I found the following settings to be good, so maybe give them a try.

[2] Realtek Audio Manager Settings
The following steps are the most important in the whole guide. It's not only the best for R6 but for other FPS games too.

To open the menu right click on the tray icon and select "Audio Devices".

Sound -> Communications
Right after you open Realtek go to the Communications tab and click on "Do nothing".
"Do nothing" will prevent Windows from changing the volume.

Playback -> Headphone
Double click on your headphone at the Playback tab to open the new menu.
When the new menu pops-up you will be able to see 5 new tabs.

Levels
Set the main slider around 50% but don't go above 80%, you will see it later why.
Leave the others at 0%, they don't really matter.

Enhancements
Make sure to turn ON the Equalizer then from the bottom select Bass because this is the most important tab from the 5. This settings will boost your sound level and the most important thing the bass. If this settings is turned on your overall sound quality will improve a lot. If you don't believe me then start a music and check the quality with and without the settings.

So why is the bass is so important in R6 and overall in games?
  • You will hear the footsteps much louder
  • You will be able to hear where are the shots coming from
  • And there's much more why is this important

Advanced and Spatial sound
Copy these settings I don't know what to say about them, I can't explain it through text. But trust me these are very good settings.

I don't play fps games with controller. (Sometimes I play F1 and NBA so that's the only reason why I own a controller )
But if you want it I will try my best and do a guide about it in the near future. (It is going to take a while because I need to do research about it.)

i disagree with bass enhancements, it's not makes sounds better, you just love bass.

but i agree with night mode. night mode maybe more better option for your average gaming headphone if you want louder footstep and reducing another sound because you will want to increase the volume to hear footstep clearly.

well it's not make hifi option is not good, if you have good soundstage and imaging in your headphone you can feel hifi setting is better because it can project any sound in the right place with correct sounding, plus you don't actually need to raise the volume because it's already loud
