King Knight

King Knight, the self-proclaimed king and the Crown Jewel of the Order of No Quarter has arrived in the world of Rivals of Aether! King Knight is a close-ranged fighter with tools that rely on of both of his and and his opponent's position.


King Knight uses his most iconic move from his own campaign, the Shoulder Bash, as his forward special. Like how it worked in the original games, when King Knight bashes through something, be it a wall, an enemy or his own rats, he will transition into pirouette, which carries King Knight upwards and has a nasty spike at the bottom. When hitting someone with spin, King Knight will rise up again, but this time, is able to cancel into jump or any attack. However, when you press special for a second time while bashing, King Knight will go into a roll, which will keep the horizontal momentum from bash and push you forward.


For his neutral special, King Knight gets the aid of one of his trusty rats, the Rat Bombardier, which is also a heirloom from his own campaign. King Knight throws a Rat Bombardier up-high which when hitting an enemy, detonates on contact (do not fret as the bomb strapped into the rat can not harm the rat.) When hitting the ground, it will automatically walk to the direction it's facing, and when on ledge, will jump forwards. When a rat bombardier is out, King Knight is able to control the rat with neutral special. Tapping the special button will command the rat to take a turn, while holding the special button will dismiss the rat.


Beware even the skies as for King Knight's down special, he summons the main common line of defense of the Pridemoor Keep, the Propeller Rat. When summoned, the Propeller Rat will settle in its place and after a while, will follow the nearest enemy in its front (will simply go forward to the direction its facing if no enemy is in its front). King Knight can summon up to 2 Propeller Rats, no more, no less. While the rats themselves can not do any damage on their own, they can assist King Knight's Shoulder Bash and Rodent Take-off.


Lastly, is King Knight's up special, based on the armor, Rodent Regalia and one of his boss attacks in Specter of Torment, is the Rodent Take-off. By itself, it is a short travelling recovery, which is not good if you are in too deep. However, if you touch a Propeller Rat while travelling, the Propeller Rat will aid King Knight to soar through greater heights! Beware though as King Knight will be completely vulnerable for the entire duration of the move.

Jab - Dueling Glove; Rapid-pressing the attack button will loop the attack.
Down Tilt - Low Swipe to High Slash; When hitting the swipe, King Knight can press attack again to do a High Slash.
Dash Attack - Blitzing Steed; Holding the attack button will have King Knight ride the Blitzsteed indefinetely.
Down Air - Brigandine Bash; Pretty much just Shoulder Bash but downwards.
