The F-15 fighter was developed by McDonnell Douglas and developed from the F-X program launched in 1962. It won the bid by McDonnell Douglas in 1969. It was first tested in July 1972. In 1974, the first mass-produced fighter was delivered to the U.S. air force. It has been in service for more than 40 years, with a total production of more than 1200, dozens of modifications and exported to six countries. Took part in more than 100 wars and shot down more than 100 enemy aircraft. In the early 21st century, it was successively replaced by F-22 fighters
