FuSa EBOOT
Assuming you already have your PSP modded and know how to install EBOOT files here is the link:

https://foosa.do.am/load/fusa_gamepad_version_03/3-1-0-33

Install it on your PSP the usual way (/PSP/GAME) then connect your PSP to your PC but don't choose the 'USB Connection' option and instead run the 'FuSa Gamepad' app on your PSP and your PC will detect it in the same way as an xbox controller.

When the app has loaded, change your input from [DIGITAL] to [ANALOG] by flicking the WLAN switch down and leave it like that (or else there will be buggy input)
CONTROLLER LAYOUT
In big picture mode, go to Settings (cog wheel) > controller settings > detected controllers

If nothing is there disconnect and reconnect your PSP, it should show with no real problems. When you see it detected choose it from the list and choose define layout and edit it like so:

Most options are how you would expect by using the on-screen diagram controller with a couple of exceptions due to limited buttons on the PSP:

1. SELECT = Back
2. HOME = Guide (Big Picture overlay)
3. VOL -/+ = LB/RB

Congrats, you can now navigate Big Picture mode with your PSP.
BIG PICTURE SETTINGS
In Big Picture mode go to RetroArch in your library > manage game > controller config, then you have three options:

1. Follow this link to my auto-config: steam://controllerconfig/1118310/2658803491
or
2. Search for my config named 'PSP-FuSa' in the config browser
or
3. DIY (copy my layout):

RETROARCH SETTINGS
Next, launch RetroArch from Big Picture mode and go to the controller layouts (settings > input > port 1 controls) and edit the layout like so:

Congrats again, you can now navigate RetroArch with your PSP and it also works with the emulators.

THE END.
IMPORTANT NOTES
1. Make sure Your PSP is always set to ANALOG input type (WLAN Switch = Down)

2. SELECT = Back

3. HOME = Guide (Big Picture overlay)

4. VOL -/+ = LB/RB

5. You need to rebind the 'slow-down' hotkey in retro arch (settings > input > hotkeys) as our controller config overwrites it (we now use E for RT) if you don't change it there is conflict during gameplay.

The simplest way to create an emulation machine with your PSP is probably this video his zip file is all preconfigured so it's simply drag and drop and follow a few steps to install the custom firmware. After it's installed you can follow this tutorial. Good luck,
