Kuvaus
Though their presence in Eorzea is lesser than that of the other races, the Miqo'te are easily distinguished by their large, projecting ears and restless, feline tails. The ancestors of this line first made their way to the realm during the Age of Endless Frost in the Fifth Umbral Era, traversing frozen seas in pursuit of the wildlife upon which they subsisted. Instinctual territoriality causes many among them to lead solitary lifestyles. Males in particular are said to shy from contact with others.

This mod adds the Seeker of the Sun and Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te races from Final Fantasy XIV to RimWorld!



Mod Features

  • Introduces the Seeker of the Sun and Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te from FFXIV.
  • Miqo'te have excellent senses, granting them a +10% bonus to shooting accuracy and a +5% bonus to hunting stealth.
  • Miqo'te have powerful legs that grant them a +0.4 c/s bonus to base movement speed.
  • Miqo'te have a +2C bonus to heat tolerance and a -2C penalty to cold tolerance.
  • Miqo'te skin color and hair color are sampled from the FFXIV color palettes.
  • Compatible with all normal hairstyles and human apparel.
  • Uses backstories from A Rim Reborn - Core.
  • Adds 29 additional unique, miqo'te-specific backstories.
  • Adds Seeker of the Sun Tribe faction.
  • Adds Keeper of the Moon Tribe faction.
  • As an Eorzean race, has Flowing Aether. Please see A Rim Reborn - Core for more details.
  • Adds Miqo'te Vest, Miqo'te Zouaves, Miqo'te Separates, and Miqo'te Loincloth apparel.

Mod Compatibility



  • This mod requires A Rim Reborn - Core to function.
  • This mod is currently not Combat Extended compatible, but support is planned for the near future.

Known Issues

  • Miqo'te apparel can be worn by any humanoid colonist, but artwork is only currently implemented for their respective gendered body types plus the Thin body type. Placeholder textures may appear if they are worn by other races.

@ZeroFrag - The ears should automatically match their hair color so long as you're using a standard hair color override path. I have personally tested this with the Ideology styling station as well as Character Editor; if you are using those and it's still not updating, try saving and reloading.

@doesntpurl - My reference and test saves are all behavior normally for both humans and ARR races. However, Humanoid Alien Races did release an update yesterday, so if you are using animation mods, they may need to update their code.

MBP is just a collection of Japanese Oblivion mods, they were translated into english then wrapped up nicely in a collection. Well, not that nicely, I had to edit a bit in xEdit to fix "googly eyes". I wouldn't put it past Square to steal or not compensate a mod author. I don't have much faith in big developers. Thanks for the mod at any rate! :)

@Alkpaz - This being a wholly inappropriate place for that aside, where did you get that idea? Modular Beautiful People was released in 2008, but the "miqote" model only exists in the 2ch fork which seems to have been added in 2011, a full year after FFXIV 1.0 came out. That seems to strongly indicate that the MBP model was inspired by FFXIV and not the other way around.

Miqo'tes were a race from a mod author for Oblivion, originally. FF (rather Square) copied them. See: Modular Beautiful People
