Intro (Read This)
Basics:
Slender Fortress 2 is a custom gamemode of TF2 that sees players collecting pages on maps while avoiding the bosses that are trying to kill them.
Some of these maps are more maze-like, and sometimes a bit confusing. I was having some trouble on a few of them, so one day I decided to make a layout for the map "Sewer", to help me better understand it.

Since I made it, I might as well share it for others to see and use. Then I decided to make more.
I may also include diagrams made by others, to help them get seen by more people. (While giving credit when I can, of course.)
On top of that, I will try to give advice for the maps to help you while playing them. I may even give advice for maps I don't make/have layouts for.

These maps can help you get better. You don't have to have them open while you are playing on the map (some might even say that that ruins the gameplay). You can study the layout to get better.

Notes:
I don't take requests to make layouts for maps.
I won't add page spawns for most, if not all maps, because that would be very hard to do.

These maps aren't 'professionally' made, they're a bit sloppy, mainly with wall sizes, which might not be 100% accurate. The more important part was just making sure the layout matched the actual map enough to be recognizable.

This is made by a player of Glubbable servers. If something is wrong with the amounts of time, player count, or things like that, it could be due to server differences.
Sometimes Steam seems to delete an image for no reason, so if it looks like an image is missing, that's probably what happened. I try to check regularly and make sure all images are still present.
Cellars
Version: slender_cellars_b4c

Version: slender_cellars_b4c_h3

Info
Amount of players: 8
Amount of pages: 12
Initial Time: ?
Amount of time pages add: 10 seconds
Max amount of time: 3:39
Escape time: 1:25

Cellars is a map inspired by Amnesia: The Dark Descent. You search the cellar for small beer bottles, avoiding monsters.

The cyan/turquoise markings represent breakable obstacles. Small boxes and small barrels that can either be jumped over or destroyed with one melee swing. Bosses can also break these objects, or sometimes even walk through them. Though some bosses get stuck.
The darker blue areas represent water. Several sections of the cellars are flooded with water, and these areas are deep enough that you have to swim.
On the alternate map, orange areas represent obstructions unique to the Halloween reskin of the map, that aren't present in the original. I felt that I should mention these, because they can potentially affect gameplay, and I just went ahead and made a separate map. Everything else should be the same.
*Please note, sizes/proportions of the map are a bit wonky on the map as I'm not perfect when making these. But the areas should still be recognizable.*
~~
Tips

Melee swings can alert the boss to your location, so be careful when you try to break the barrels and boxes.
The water sections can have bottles floating in the water. The bottles can be covered by the breakable objects, so break them and check.
Classic Eight Pages
Version: slender_theeightpages_classic7

Info
The Eight Pages is a recreation of the map from Slender: The Eight Pages, though it has a few differences. RED is sent to a dark forest with several landmarks, and needs to find the eight pages to escape.

There are two images above.
Image One is a plain aerial screenshot of the map, as it is in game (if you use console commands, that is).
Image Two highlights the points of interest, taking out all of the regular trees, and zooming in on the building's interior.

Both images can be used to see where every landmark is, relative to each other.

This map has no exit. Collecting all eight pages simply teleports all surviving REDs to the BLU waiting room and they win.
~~
Tips
Since the map is mostly just unremarkable trees, the landmarks are the main way to find your way around. There's no hope in trying to remember the layout of the trees, so instead find a landmark and use it to find the others.

Being chased by the boss can lead you to being turned around and lost. Try to just run to the next landmark, since most of them can just be looped around and pages can be grabbed quickly. That doesn't apply to the building's interior. If you don't want to do that, then keep a mental note of the direction of the last landmark you saw so that you can still find your way.

The Moon's position is to the north, and a bit west. If you get turned around in the trees, know that the Moon is north-westish.

Remember, this version of the map does not have "Cut Trees"/"Pillars" area in between the Tunnel and the Crosswalls. So don't somehow get yourself lost trying to look for them.
Claustrophobia
Version: Unknown, but close to slender_claustrophobia_b2b
Should also be mostly accurate for seasonal reskins

**This map was taken from the Slender Fortress 2 wiki[slenderfortress.fandom.com], made by a =(eG)= Ryan Cansler, and uploaded by user Nin10doGMod[slenderfortress.fandom.com].

Info
Claustrophobia is a dark hedge maze, with many twists, turns, and dead ends. You must find many keys placed randomly on pedestals, and then escape via a tower near the center of the map.

NOTE: The map seems to not be entirely accurate for claustrophobia_b2b.
*I believe that older versions of this map had a different layout.*
~~
Tips
It's best to avoid bosses on this map, as there are many dead ends that can get you killed in a chase. Instant-kill bosses, like Slenderman, or Paranoia, are very dangerous. Look-and-run bosses are a nightmare as well.

From what I've seen/heard, some of the glowing gates on the map will randomly be opened or sealed every time you play. I don't know if they're all linked up though (ie. if one is open, they all are, and vice versa)
Frost Run (Classic / Old)
Version: slender_frost_run_classic3

Info
Classic Frost Run takes place in an small ice cave, with many hallways and a few open rooms.
Spawn and the exit are the same room. The exit trigger is actually a bit in front of the dock.
~~
Tips
From spawn, the left hallway is a small area that one or two people can manage. The right side is where the path branches out. Gas cans can be found in both rooms and hallways.

There's nowhere to really hide in the hallways, besides around corners, so be careful while walking through them. If the boss does start chasing you, there are things to hide behind in the rooms. The rooms are also wide enough to circle around the boss (in case you can't safely pass him in the hall).

You can actually jump/stand on a number of the boxes present on the map, in addition to hiding behind them. You can also jump over the railing in the wooden area to the southeast.
Gutters
Version: slender_gutters_b2c
Should also be accurate for Halloween verisons of the map

Info
Gutters takes place in an sewer. (though it's not related to any Sewer map)
It's layout can feel a bit maze like, with hallways and rooms looking very similar to one another, and with multiple dead ends. I think Gutters has a lower win rate than other maps, but it's easier than you think.

As you can see in the image, the map is actually fairly simple. The path right of the spawn is one big loop, and a middle and bottom paths of the map are actually pretty linear. There's also a good amount of objects to hide behind on all paths.
~~
Tips
Memorize the dead ends, so that you don't get stuck on them.
Lobbys
Version: slender_lobbys_b2a
Also accurate for slender_lobbys_classic1

**This picture was taken from the Slender Fortress 2 wiki[slenderfortress.fandom.com], uploaded by user Nin10doGMod[slenderfortress.fandom.com]

Info
Lobbys is a map that sees players walking through some type of cursed Lobby, one that has several forms that are linked up via portals. Here is the list of rooms:

  • Spawn Lobby (1)
    The spawnpoint for RED
    -
  • Water Lobby (2)
    A lobby flooded with water.
Some versions of the map have the lobby almost fully submerged, while some have only about half of it in water.
    -
  • Floating Vehicles / Car Lobby (3)
A lobby with floating cars in the air
    -
  • cp_orange / Incomplete Lobby (4)
A lobby with untextured walls, similar to cp_orange.
Some versions of the map have rooms that are completely empty, while some have the rooms with tables and consoles in them. Page spawn locations can be affected by this.
    -
  • Flickering / Dark Lobby (5)
Almost like spawn, but with less rooms to check. Also a lot darker, with some rooms having flickering lights.
    -
  • Escape / Exit / Eyes Lobby (5 1)
A dark lobby with the exit portal, located by the gargoyle statues. The eyes will glow when you have collected all of the items, and you can jump into the exit pool. This lobby doesn't seem to have any page spawns, and all of the usual rooms are instead blocked off, with eyes staring at you through the windows.
    -
  • Tokyo / Chinese / Kong King Lobby (5 2)
A weird lobby that changes up the layout, where you search through biggers rooms with many boxes instead of cubicles.
Some versions of the map have numbers near the portal doors to tell you where you'll teleport to, hence the above numbers. So remembering them can really help.
~~
Tips
There is a good route that allows you to travel through every lobby, from Spawn to Exit, with only one repeat at the end. A Golden Route. Here's the main route, described in multiple ways:
~~
Name Route:
Spawn > cp_orange > Vehicles > Water > Dark > Tokyo > Dark > Exit
Number Route:
1 > 4 > 3 > 2 > 5 > 5 2 > 5 > 5 1
Directional / Door Route (starting at Spawn):
Middle > Left > Right > Left > Left > Left > Right

There is room on this route to switch room orders at several spots. I put cp_orange first since that lobby can have different spawn locations for items, and checking it yourself can be a good idea.
Sewer
Version: slender_sewer_b2b
Layout also accurate for 'slender_sewer_b2b_c2' and 'slender_sewer_b2b_h3'

Info
Amount of players: 8
Amount of pages: 8
Initial Time: 5:00
Amount of time pages add: 10 seconds
Max amount of time: 5:00
Escape time: 3:00

Sewer is a maze-like map, with ever corridor pretty much looking exactly the same: dirty gray hallways.

The red boxes on the map are doors that have the ability to close. The doors shut when RED team finds every page and the escape sequence begins. I marked every door that I found. You can tell where the doors are because they slightly stick out of the ceiling at certain points in the map. NOTE: These doors can kill you if they close when you're underneath them. It is dangerous to pass underneath a door when at 7/8 pages.

Between the boss, the doors, and the map flooding with water after getting every page, escaping on this map can be difficult.
~~
Tips
This map is fairly dark. Some of the hallways have dim green lights on the ceiling, but other hallways and the rooms are without light. Try to save flashlight while walking in the hallways by turning it off and walking in the dark. If you need to recharge, then hide in a room and wait.

Escaping
If you are really worrying about not being able to escape, then try to check the parts of the map that get blocked off first.

Highlighted with light blue, these parts of the map are pretty far from the exit once the doors close. The east part specifically is a big area that requires a long route to get to the escape. Try to get all pages there, make sure it's clear, then head to other parts of the map before the doors close and you can escape easier.
The southwest part is also a bit far, though easier to manage and not as dangerous.

At around 2:13 on the Escape Timer, the map will begin to fill up with water. The water will rise from the floor, and walking will turn into swimming before you know it. The sewers will be completely submerged by 1:40, and you'll eventually start to drown.

You can still sprint while underwater, but try to get to the exit before you start drowning. If you've taken damage from the boss, you will have less time to spend underwater as drowning obviously takes from your already lowered healthbar.
Sewer (Classic / Old)
Version: slender_sewer_classic1

Info
Older versions of Sewer have no doors, less hallways, and randomized spawn points. The exit is in the same room, but you must run to the door instead of a ladder.
~~
Tips
Finding your bearings is a good idea. By that, I mean figure out where you are, so that you can also know where the rooms with page spawns are, and where exit is.
TF2 Maps Added to SF2
Several Slender Fortress maps are standard TF2 maps, but altered to fit the gamemode.
~~
TF2 maps I know are added to SF2
  • 2Fort
  • Dustbowl
  • Egypt
  • Harvest (A snowy version callled 'Winter Harvest')
  • Hydro
  • Junction
  • Swiftwater (Called 'Overgrown' in SF2)
  • Turbine
~~
    Quick Tips:
  • A lot of the terrain, mainly outside floors, used in TF2 maps can weirdly affect your flashlight. It can be hard to see while pointing the light at them.
  • Just because you're good at the standard map, doesn't mean you'll have an easy time on the Slender version.
  • Ported maps are not like the regular versions playable in Causal. Some sections and doorways will be blocked, while other areas usually not accessible are now open to explore.
Maps I May Do in the Future
List of maps I may make layouts for in the future. Just because it's on the list, doesn't mean it'll definitely happen.

  • Forgotten Tomb

Maps done will hopefully also be accurate for any Seasonal reskins as well

Nice guide, do you mind if I use the map you made of the Classic Frost Run for the Disc-FF Wiki (whenever I get to that map's page) ?

You can find it here : https://firefriendly.fandom.com/wiki/Slender_Fortress

You can also use any screenshots on maps I did for your own use OR use as a reference when drawing their maps by hand.
