Arma3 Setup Root Server (Linux / Debian / Ubuntu)
By Hiroto Ryusei
1. Login with Root ( Putty )

Enter in the console

2. apt-get update <---- Copy
3. apt-get upgrade <---- Copy

( For Debian system copy this )

4. sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386; sudo apt update; sudo apt install curl wget file tar bzip2 gzip unzip bsdmainutils python util-linux ca-certificates binutils bc jq tmux netcat lib32gcc1 lib32stdc++6 <---- Copy all

( For Ubuntu system copy this )

4. sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386; sudo apt update; sudo apt install curl wget file tar bzip2 gzip unzip bsdmainutils python util-linux ca-certificates binutils bc jq tmux netcat lib32gcc1 lib32stdc++6 libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 steamcmd <---- Copy all

5. Create a new HOME FOLDER with /home/arma3server

adduser arma3server <---- Copy

( For security best practice, ensure you set a strong password. )

6. New Sudo/User login

su - arma3server <---- Copy

( I recommend logging into Putty completely with the new USER )

7. Download this with login name arma3server

wget -O linuxgsm.sh https://linuxgsm.sh && chmod +x linuxgsm.sh && bash linuxgsm.sh arma3server <---- Copy

8. Install

./arma3server install <---- Copy

9. It is very important not to type anything into the console or press Enter during the installation, this can take a while, depending on the
provider.
Patience is required here;)
During the installation he asks for a steam account, for this you need a valid account with a password

10. After the installation just enter this

./arma3server st <---- Copy

And that's it :)

With ./arma3server input you can see which commands are there.
e.g. ./arma3server update or ./arma3server status
and many more are shown, including how to upload workshop files

I wish you the best of luck with questions, I will answer as soon as I can
