Info Tool

Description
Provides information about the parameters of individual track or street segments that have already been laid.

A tool for all who want to check what they have built and whether the result corresponds to the original.

To use it, please select the 'Tools' category at 'Assets' and activate the Info Tool ('i' icon). When pointing to a track or street segment, this is marked by a white strip, and a hovering info panel (can be switched off) appears with various parameters of the segment. Clicking on the segment marks it with two yellow arrows and fixes the info panel. If the marking causes problems, please click again. All adjacent segments are displayed in turn. If the gray panel is touched with the mouse cursor without clicking, a larger blue panel with more detailed information appears. These can optionally also be written to the console and stdout. A special feature is the ExpertDump. This is used to output detailed return values from script requests in the console or stdout, which are of particular interest to mod developers.

Important notes:

- To delete the markers click outside of a track or street or select 'Delete markers' and then click. Or change the tool/asset. Please do not use the eraser!
- Inclinations are output in per mille for tracks and in percent for streets.
- Radii of connecting curves at street junctions cannot be queried.
- The mod does not make any changes and can be easily removed at any time.

@VacuumTube: Ich muss mal sehen.

Cool, didn't know that 2nd window. Still, only adding some extra characters to the suggested line can't cause any issue I think. =)

Thanks.

@Blackdragonbird: The height difference is already displayed in the info panel of the node tool itself. But there is also an entry in the info tool. When the grey info panel appears, click once more. Then the info panel is fixed. If you now hover across the info panel without clicking and wait a little, a larger blue panel appears containing the height difference and some other parameters. I don't want to overload the small info panel with so much information.

Suggestion to improve this one. Add in the 'h 00.00m -> 00.00m' line the height difference like this:

h 99.00m -> 98.00m (-1.00m)

It will help a lot to see the exact value to apply to the Node Tool when making single pieces perfectly levelled.

If you can use some arrow up/down symbol instead of the minus signal it will be even better. Arrow up to positive elevation, arrow down for negative elevation.

Thank you so much. I have been wanting something like this for awhile now since it has become a tedious task to click through the different track types to find what I had previously lain for that specific line.
