How to reach Wave 26 in Horde. And get the "To Hell & Back" Achievement" 😎😈😱
Por JHIMBOI
Ok so... this is supposed to be a guide in which I would share my Horde experience.
HOPING that this will also help you in reaching Wave 26 to get the Achievement.

From personal experience, It took my friend and I about 7-8 tries from our first run. So I think many other players can easily get this HAHAHA

First Preparations
  • PLAYER COUNT
    - At first glance, I thought Horde was easier with max players (4) but after countless tries with my friends, we would fail at around Wave 18-20 and get sad... it was hard.

    - But it turns out, it is EASIER to accomplish with just 2 players. So unless, the four of your friends are GOD at brawlhalla, you should try grinding it with only 1 of your friends.

  • LEGEND PICKS
    - I have seen a lot of legend picks that were able to accomplish Horde. Some of them being:

    -> Jiro
    -> Queen Nai
    -> Caspian
    -> Sentinel
    -> Jhalla
    -> Reno
    -> Gnash

But I believe Nai wil be easy to use since your main moves are going to be NAIR and NSIG. Also Katars makes you more agile even though Nai is 'slow'.

    - SPEED STANCE is the best stance for Nai in this gamemode that's because you need to be prepared to save your friend defending from the demons in case it gets too difficult in one side.

Nai may be slow, but her NSIG makes it the best move in her kit for defending the gate.

NOTE: For all through out the run, I will be using katars.

    OK LETS START
Horde Gamemode

So you should already be knowledgable about Horde and that it has important things you need to take into mind always.

- Ok so there are 2 gates to defend any demon enemies from touching it. of course.
- There are 4 kinds of enemies. 1 BOT & 3 demons which are different in color to define their type
  • Gruagach

    - This guy just ruins your day. TO GET HIT BY HIS NLIGHT IS SO ANNOYING. It takes forever and knocks you back far.
    - This guy shows up every 5 waves all throughout the game.
    - If you can do Katars tech like the 'half-pipe', you should do it BUT ONLY on early stages.
The reason is that on later stages the demons come to the gates faster and you would just have a better chance defending by using sigs, rather than katar light attacks like Dlights or Slights.
    - A simple Slight-Nsig or Nlight-Nsig tends to do the job.

  • Blue Bald Demon

    - This guy shows up from wave 1 and above
    - Only 1 light attack is needed to kill this guy

  • Yellow Fast Demon

    - This guy shows up at wave 6 and above
    - He's fast and annoying
    - Only 1 light attack is needed to kill this guy

  • Red Helmet Demon

    - This guy shows up at wave 11
    - This guys tanky fat heavy helmet bitc-
    - 1 signature attack is needed to kill this guy
    - OR 2 light attacks can also kill him. But I suggest to go for sigs.
Wave 1-5
(I'll also put titles and GIFs on important stages/waves.)
  • Wave 1 "Easy"
    - Very easy wave. whether you start with katars or a spear, or even unarmed, it is very easy to defend against the Blue Demons that rain from above.

  • Wave 2 "Groups"
    - Also very easy. If you observe closely the Blue Demons now come in 3 groups-of-2 and 2 groups-of-3. Still. Holds no challange.

  • Wave 3 "Below"
    - Now, some of the Blue Demons come from below. But I suggest for you to stay above the stage and wait for them because there are still also demons coming from above.

  • Wave 4 "Rows"

    - This time, 6 demons come from each side in 2 rows. The bottom row actually is the only row that goes for the gate on the respective side. Meaning that the top row will go pass the middle first to go to the opposite gate. So focus on the bottom row first.

  • Wave 5 "Some random guy spawns, so you kill him."
    - Gruagach appears. Your life flashes before your eyes. And then you hit him with a nice katar combo finishing with a sig to proceed to the next wave.
Wave 6-10
  • Wave 6 "Yellow demons"
    - The first encounter of the annoying yellow demons. Thankfully, they come in only 1 number in this wave. So ez.

  • Wave 7 "Mid-below"

    - In this wave, majority of the demons come from the middle BUT there are also yellow demons that will come from the sides.
    - So don't go slide-charging a down-sig in this wave HAHAHA. Trust me, we've done it.
    - You can try alternating between Dsigs & Nsigs here and it can do a lot.

  • Wave 8
    - Just another easy wave. Another mixture of Blue and Yellow Demons. Just practice timing your katar nairs so it would hit multiple enemies to make it more effective.

  • Wave 9 "Yellow Zigzag Towards Death"

    - Before the yellow demons can be see on screen. Go to the middle quickly and time your Nsigs. This will test your synergy and love with your friend. DONT SIG AT THE SAME TIME. Try to alternate sigs so that it wont go to waste.

  • Wave 10 "Some random guy spawns AGAIN, so you kill him."
    - Gruagach appears bruh. He spawns randomly on either gate so whoever is the player there, be prepared to kill.
    - But it is actually difficult because at the same time, there are blue demons who are already going towards the gate.
Wave 11-15
by this time, its normal if only 4-5 demons have already reached each gate...

!UNLESS THE OTHER PLAYER IS WHIFFING! smh >:(

  • Wave 11 "Red Tanky Demons"
    - Red Demons are now a problem. They need 1 Sig for them to die. I suggest just using your katar nsig. ALSO wait for the perfect moment to execute the sig. If they are crumpled together that's the perfect situation.

  • Wave 12 "The Red Demon Wave"

    - In this wave, 2 jobs are important to be filled in.
-> 1 player should be located at the left-end of the Middle Platform and should time their Nsig to kill 2 red demons at a time.
-> The other player should watch out for the Blue Demons and be able to defend the 2 gates.
    - This is an easy stage if you understand the flow.

  • Wave 13 "Mixture"
    - Another stage in which it is a mixture of Red and Blue Demons. By this time, you should be using sigs often because it is harder to hit nairs and kill many demons at the same time.

  • Wave 14 "Red Demons' Descent"

    - What a cool title. This wave is pretty simple.
    - Just time your Nsigs to hit the red demon before it reaches your gate. You only need to focus on these demons because they are the only one going to spawn.

  • Wave 15 "Again? Gruagach, imma kill dis dud."
    - Gruagach appears!? NOW WAY!
    - Gruagach is boring. He just nlights you and lets 349587 demons to attack the gate.
    - Juggling both defending and fighting Gruagach is the best.
    - Try to side-sig him off the stage, so he has a difficult time coming back.
Wave 16-20
it's gonna get difficult.

  • Wave 16 "Mixture of 3"
    - All three types of demons show up. Just do your best to watch your own gate. If you feel you are in a bad spot after a Nair... a wake-up GC-Nsig is probably a good measurement to defend.

  • Wave 17 "Yellow Demon Heart Dance"

    - This is a wave that you need to remember always.
    - The Yellow Demons rain from above in 2 lines and move in a HEART 💛 formation towards the gate.
    - This is another wave to test your synergy in timing your Nsigs. Practice this and relay who is always going to sig first so there is no conflict between players.

  • Wave 18 "Another Mixture"
    - Another wave in which you encounter the 3 demons.
    - Try to not focus on the Red Demons because the problem in this wave is the Yellow Demons. They quickly go for the gates and aim that you go for the Red Demons which is not good.
    - I have said it constantly but, your best bet now in defending is Nsigs and GC-Nsigs.

  • Wave 19 "McDonalds Train"

    - This wave is a little breather before chaos.
    - Consists of Yellow & Red Demons that enter from the right side like a train.
    - Try to Nsig at the middle platform of the map.
    - They pass through the middle for 2 times so don't panic If they pass your first sig.

  • Wave 20 "This dude is really ugly ngl"
    - Guess who appears? If your answer is Gruagach, then you're probably a Brawlhalla Genius.
    - This wave consists of Yellow & Red Demons. Nsigs will save your day. Try only Nsig and not side sigs or get fancy with slide charges.
    - As I have said, just hit Gruagach with a good Slight-Nsig and defend your gate at the same time.
Wave 21-25
from here on out, just minimize the number of demons that attack the gate.

Each gate is probably already white or yellow, and I think it's not possible for it to NOT become red in the following waves.

  • Wave 21 "Mixture again"
    - First attacks you with Blue & Yellow Demons but will mix the 3 demons after some time.
    - Watch your gate very closely...

  • Wave 22 "The Clock"

    (we kind of missed, sorry)
    - Another wave where you need to prepare to defend in the middle
    - The demons will first group in the middle and travel in a COUNTER clock-wise motion towards the gate.
    - Time your Nsigs once again so you alternate and eliminate most of the demons in the middle.

  • Wave 23 "Manageable"
    - This stage is also kind of a breather. well... you won't have that difficult of a time I should say
    - You can start off with Nairs, and you would still be safe.
    - Don't forget to wait for the best situation for your Nsig.
    - Prepare for the next stage...

  • Wave 24 "Just Chaos"

    - I HATE THIS WAVE THE MOST.
    - You get attacked by multiple Red & Yellow Demons that are grouped together towards the middle and then some of them turn around towards the gate
    - Also they attack twice.

    - I suggest to wait here... not unlike the GIF (we kind of failed really bad)
If you are guarding the left gate. Wait for the Yellow & Red demons to close to you then Sig.
The same if you are guarding the right gate. Wait for the Yellow & Red demons to group and then Sig.

  • Wave 25 "LAST WAVE TO SURVIVE. FIGHT-O!"

    - This is the last wave you need to survive in order to get the achievement
    - In our run, The left gate was already red and the right one was already open.
    - Gruagach spawns And you should quickly hit him with a Slight-Nlight-Nsig or just an Nsig because It will really save you in this wave.
    - Don't lose focus or panic. HAHAHAH because it will become easier if you are focused & calm.
Wave 26
CONGRATULATIONS!

You just reached Wave 26 in Horde.

- You should get the achievement notification located in the bottom right of your screen.
- All your hardships are finished HAHAHA you should probably taunt in the end as I did to commemorate your victory.

- Your runs will also probably be filled with miracles and lucky moments, just remember it's not impossible and it just needs practice and synergy so goodluck!!!
Big Thanks!
Thanks for reading this guide. It took some time for me to put this together.
I hope you also reach wave 26 and FINALLY get that Achievement 😱😈😎!!!

Tips from someone who got a friend, said "Yo lets get the achievement lol" and got it:
Sigs that shoot exactly up are the best, such as nai in the vid, me and my friend used Nix and Munin.
Don't be surprised if it takes hours, cus it did for us :P
