Spear Traps

Description

Brings spear traps to the game.

How to build a spear trap?
First you have to dig a grave. Then you need one or more spear in your inventory (up to 5 spears per grave). Finally, simply right-click the grave and you'll see a menu option:
  • Add Spear to Grave
Once a spear has been added to the trap, it can also be retrieved with the menu option:
  • Remove Spear from Grave

Beware, spear traps are dangerous! It's a double-edged sword. While it can kill zombies quite efficiently, you will also die if you walk on the trap!!!

Features
  • When zombies walk over a grave with no spear, they'll get knocked down.
  • When zombies walk over a grave with at least one non-broken spear, they'll get killed instantly, breaking one spear.
  • When players run over a grave with no spear, they will get injured (foot or lower leg).
  • When players walk over a grave with at least one non-broken spear, they will get killed instantly too.

If you don't want to risk dying by walking over a spear trap, you can disable this behavior in Sandbox settings. In that case the players won't die, but will receive as many injuries as there are spears in the grave:
Sandbox settings -> Sadistic AI Director -> Spear Traps Kill Players

No. Redistribution of this mod without explicit permission from the original author is strictly prohibited under any circumstances. The spikes wont show in the hole as they should but tiles away from it, this because the mod seems to require having double sized textures on, can you please make it work on the normal textures? since i cant have the double for performance reasons.

could you please change the damage it does to the player cause when you set up traps next to eachother and try to fill in the hole next to them theres a really good chance your player will just decide to walk into the traps when it's trying to forfill a task the amount of saves ive lost trying to make a spear trap but the player dies is annoying could you maybe change how much damage it does to a player so its a bit more forgiving or maybe change the hit box so it isn't so big and so easy to die on any changes would be appreciated

idk if its the mod but the texture for a grave/spiked grave is invisible meaning you can be walking by and fall easily into it. lost a character instantly from one spear garbage mod do not download not worth it

Thank you @cuyZ4 but you cant change it on apocalypse the one I used. But Still thanks for the information might consider using this if i use mods again.
